Incedible Guitar, Incredible Price!

By skyline223

I bought this guitar in January and I love it. It's C shaped neck glides so easily and the polished fretboard is so easy to play on its scary. I'm a big Gibson fan and this was my first Fender. It is now one of my primary guitars. Although when I tried to change the strings for the first time it came out of tune VERY easily. I would invest into some locking tuners.

Great, Beautiful Guitar...

By thrdognite

For the money, it is one of the best Strats that I own. Hot, Tex-Mex pickups and a beautiful Artic Pearl finish (mine is a maple neck fretboard), it plays and sounds as good as the more expensive Strats. To me, it's the best looking of all the Anniversary models.

SWEETNESS

My friend (and bandmate) owns this, and I can see why he loves it. the color is amazing and the overwound pick ups provide a more metal sound. The problem is, otherwise its just another strat. I still love mine and all strats rock. You might wanna pick this up!

insanely versatile

this strat is one that will definantly be sought after by collectors. It's drop dead gorgeous. The pick-ups are excellent but don't provide the bottom end as do humbuckers. This guitar is by FAR the best in it's price range from any manufacture. The neck is fast, finish is excellent and nice bag. The tremolo springs are crap without slight adjustment but hey, thats easy. If this guitar is one that you are considering, don't hesitate. Go out and buy it. Its insane.

Standard Series on a double dose of steroids

By hi13ts

The title says it all, except, I wouldn't even call this Standard Series. The frets on the neck is much larger and more comfortable, the neck itself is tinted and has a magnificent engraved diamond neck plate, and the guitar overall is a bit lighter in weight compared to the Standards. But what stands out the most is the unique "Blizzard Pearl" color and the over-wound Tex-Mex pickups. The pickups are also hum canceling in position 2 and 4 (neck+middle, middle+bridge). The Tex-Mex is what makes this Fender above Standard; it roars like a beast, but yet it can be as docile as a rabbit. One of the most powerful single-pickups that I've ever heard. And as I said, the body is much more comfortable and lighter than Standards. It sounds better than the Mexican made Deluxe Fenders, but it just doesn't hum-cancel on each pickup. Overall, this is one of the better temporary models that Fender has put out. Go find one before they're all out!!!

My search is over

I was looking for several months for a better electric. I didnt have the money to drop on an american strat or a nice les paul. I wasnt even sure what I wanted. I ruled out les pauls in my price range, and the american strat sounded and felt so right but it was way to expensive. I played one and didnt care for the way it felt. I picked this up and instantly fell in love. It has amazing feel to it and tone to it, very close to an american and the price is amazing for what it sounds and feels like. And to boot, a nice finish on it.

so much worth the extra 100 bucks

By justice

i tried this and the standard mexican strat and even on the worst of amps this blows the regular strat away. the sound when playing blues is serene and it is versatile enough to play almost anything. the color is sweet too. best guitar i've ever had.

This guitar is great. It looks so nice. I got it 3 days ago for my birthday and it rocks. Its an upgrade from the starter squier strat and its a nice difference. Im very dissapointed it came with one dead fret but it is a great guitar. I work around its only flaw. I highly recomend it.

Anniversary Worthy!!

This is my 4th Fender and my 3rd Strat. It won't replace my 40th anniversary American Standard as my favorite Fender, but it will get played...LOTS!!! The color really is unique and cool under the stage lights..I am told...haven't seen it from an audience perspective yet. It is lighter than my 40th, but not quite as dynamic as far as touch and tone. I will say it has a plethora of tones. When using the tween-pickups toggle selections, you can hear the separation of the pickups and the combined tones sing in very pretty and distinct voices. If I want that Gilmour sound, nothing in my quiver compares to my 40th, but this guitar does the different SRV tones better than any Strat I have owned, even with the thin, stock strings. I will have to try it with some heavier guage strings to see what else is tonally available. The neck will take some getting used to for me, but that acclimation is already occuring after two weeks. While I know I can't expect a case at this price, it is nice to get the soft carrier, which is adequate. I will invest in a good case...I'll want to preserve the pretty finish. This is the best value of any Strat available, in my opinion.

The best Strat for your money

By Anonymous

from Undisclosed

I bought this guitar soley based on the color, but thankfully it turned out to be a "best buy". The Tex-Mex pickups are amazing, but I took out the bridge pickup and but in a duncan hotrails in and it preforms exceptionally now. A little warning though, this guitar has little to no sustain, so I would suggest putting in graphite saddles or something. The neck is so smooth, but don't leave it in the cold or the finish will crack like mine did. Over all the best valued Stratocaster I've played.

Just last night I received my replacement for my 60th anniversary strat. Now this this the Fender that I remember beautiful and full of sound not a flaw one, this thing doesn't even need set-up. I knew that I could count on this website to make things right with a guitar that didn't quite reach my standards. THANK YOU Musician's Friend.

Nice buut..

It looks really nice in real life. The finish looks fit for fender's 60th anniversary guitar. Even if you have never seen a photo of this guitar, when you see it it screams special edition guitar because the finish is so great and unique. as far as sound and features go, its a standard strat so it sounds good. My only complaint is that where the neck and body meet there was a like blob of paint that looked really ugly and made me think that the quality wasnt that good.

Awesome

By Chris-PmJkh

This Guitar is really cool. The Playability is amazing. but you do have to kind of watch out for it a little. first off the picture is misleading. luckily i saw this guitar in stores before i bought it on line. the guitar is much more white than it is in the picture. also make sure you read the specs... which i didn't do. it says it has 3 tex mex pickups in it which are great if you are looking for that clean sound. don't buy this guitar thinking you can play anything you want. because these pickups are not very good for heavy distortion or fuzz.. but besides that this guitar is seriously amazing. i personally love it.

I just received this excellent guitar for my 13 birthday. I mainly wanted it for an investment, but once I played it. this is just like the Jimmy Vaughan Strat but with a c shape neck. If you have this money, I'd recommend anyone to buy it.

Worth the money

By Anonymous

I bought this as my second guitar about 6 months ago and for the price it's a great guitar. If you're looking for heavy sounds you'll need a different pickup. The TexMex ones that come in it sound great clean and have a wonderful tone, but it's hard to get a real deep sound out of them. I put a Dimebucker in the bridge and it ROCKS! Definitely a great value and the blizzard pearl finish looks better in person its a very nice lookin guitar.

sweet sound and playability

By yerblues11

from E. Killingley Ct.

I'm not a big Fender guitar fan. I'm more into Gibsons. But when I saw this 60th anniversary standard with the blizzard pearl color it defintley got my attention. After playing it for a couple of weeks I fell in love with it, The warm sweet sounds to the nice crunch the mex tex pickups are great. This guitar has become one of my favorite instruments to play. I believe that I defintley got my moneys worth.

Awesome Guitar!!

This guitar is awesome. I recently went to the local music store and i tried this amazing guitar. I love it! My main guitar right now is an Ibanez AWD82T. I love my Ibanez but i really think i should get the 60th anniversary standard strat. The modern C-shape neck with maple fretboard has amazing playability. The sound blew me away. It sounds like no other strat i have every played. My friend owns a standard stratocaster and the 60th anniversary blows it away in look and sound. AWESOME GUITAR!! I reccomend it for anyone or any music style.
