A Tele that integrates the best vintage features, modern refinements, and Fender craftsmanship.
What better choice to mark Fender's 60th anniversary than the guitar that started it all--the American Telecaster. It was Fender's first production model and to this day is one of the world's most popular. This one has all the American Series features and more--alder body with a 60th anniversary logo inlay and the sharper '52-style body radius, parchment knobs and pickup covers, engraved 60th Anniversary parchment pickguard and neck plate, beautifully rolled fretboard edges, and a jewel headstock emblem. It is equipped with the Delta Tone System (hot bridge pickup and a no-load tone control) to give it extra bite. The 60th Anniversary Telecaster also comes with an ultra-deluxe commemorative case.

The MF description is a montage of specs from the AV52 Inlay, the "Cubic Zirc" Am Series Strat and its sister Tele. The guitar actually shown is basically an AV52 with a fairly thin lacquer clear topcoat and a small inlay of 4 types of wood below the bridgeplate. The wiring is traditional AV52 but the pickups are actually CS No-Casters and not Original Vintages. The silver case with purple boudoir tufted lining is from G + G cases in Los Angeles but the silver material is super easy to damage. The blade switch all the way up is a bassy dark sound you may not like. Give it a chance before rewiring, or choose a smaller cap value. Neck is straight up "position two" and both neck and bridge pups can be accessed together if you hit the spot on the switch between 1 + 2. Called "1.5" by some, it will be noise canceling since the No-Caster pups are RWRP towards each other. The neck plate will bear a number up to 1000. The number on the bridge plate will be a 5 digit number but these numbers are somewhat random, as though the assemblers grabbed plates out of a bin to assemble the guitars.2, sometimes 3 pieces of light ash. Rock hard catalyzed undercoat on body under clear lacquer.
This is one of the finest vintage type guitars I've played yet,I've played a lot. I have several real vintage guitars. This guitar feels like an old friend from the 60's..only new! Only 1000 made, don't miss out...I love this axe..
I found this guitar to have features found only in a custom shop model, very well put together and very nice to look at.Playability was top notch and the tone was very very nice (played through a tweed twin)oh so sweet. The inlay was very tastefully done and well lets face it I bought it and was very suprised at the low cost for such a fine instrument.
This guitar has been the best out of the box of 5 previous Fenders and Gibsons. Beautiful detail with the inlay and finish. Fender included the parts necessary to upgrade the pick up configuration to traditional configuration which I did. They also include an alternate bridge with individual saddles if you are inclined. I kept the original saddle bridge setup.I recommend you buy this guitar while you can!
An altogether amazing guitar. With all the tonal variation you'd expect with this standard of dedication to detail in workmanship. Plays with levels of sweetness and grit in the blink of an eye. Even when I'm not playing it I enjoy the look of this guitar. 5 out of 5 doesn't seem enough.
