A striking and unique signature Fender® Malibu model inspired by Alkaline Trio.
Chicago punks Alkaline Trio jumped in on the design of what must be one of Fender’s most distinctive acoustic guitars ever—the Alkaline Trio Malibu. The instrument takes the classic ’60s-era sun-and-fun Malibu folk-style acoustic and dresses it up with a graceful heart-shaped rosette designed by the band, as seen gracing the cover of 2011 acoustic album Damnesia.
Premium features include a richly resonant all-mahogany body with the aforementioned AT-designed heart-shaped rosette, scalloped X bracing, C-shape maple Stratocaster® neck with a 20-fret rosewood fretboard, body and neck binding, rosewood bridge with synthetic bone compensated saddle, chrome hardware and gloss neck and body finish.

Guitar is beautiful there is no doubt about that! But, Fender really didnt catch the detail on this like they should have. The print around the sound hole has noticable flaws, along with the binding and the finish where the neck meets the body.
The sound itself is not bad ONCE you change the strings and set the neck. I found Med. Elixers are giving the the fullest most consistant sound (after spending $50+ in strings before I was happy. It has a very twangy cheap sound with the extremely thin strings that come on it
All in all Im happy...now. It plays good, sounds good and demands attn from any ALK3 fan. Stays in tune pretty well. And is beyond unique. I would buy again and reccommend to a friend. Only wish it was available in acoustic electric option!

Only wish is that it were acoustic-electric.
