Comments about Fender American Deluxe Telecaster Electric Guitar:
I already have 2 Strats. I bought a 72 re-issue Tele with Humbuckers...Hated it, gave it to my son. I thought I would try one more time for a Tele. I bought this American Deluxe Tele, and it is beautiful and sounds like a Tele. I guess I like the sound of the single coils. I was raised on Buddy Holly! I am not a Fender Snob! I have 3 Gibsons (that I don't play), and 3 Martins (Long live Martin), and a Guild G45 Hank Willims Jr. I do Love this Fender.

Comments about Fender American Deluxe Telecaster Electric Guitar:
I have now had a week to play this guitar and WOW! The feel is fantastic. As I mentioned in my prior review the action was to low and I was experiencing fret buzz out of the box. I had my local shop put a pair of 10's on the guitar and they adjusted the string height. WOW! There is a noticable difference between this guitar and my 2011 American Standard Tele (which is nice as well). The compound radius neck is outstanding. The pick-ups are mellow compared to the standard, but it is nice to have a different sounding guitar in the collection. I am now looking to trade in one of my American Standard Strat's for a deluxe version. Well worth the extra money.

Comments about Fender American Deluxe Telecaster Electric Guitar:
I have owned Stratocasters the majority of my playing career. I first purchased an American Standard Tele last year and love it. It sounds amazing. It sounded so good I wanted an American Deluxe Tele. Mine just came in from my local music store. What a beutiful guitar. The action needs a bit of adjustment (to low) and has a bit of fret buzz. Other than that it has an amazing finish (Olympic Pearl) and a fantastic neck (rosewood). I will use it at rehearsal next week and at our upcoming show next weekend and I can't wait. I would of given it 5 stars, but for as much as they are charging for these guitars the action could have been set up correctly.

Comments about Fender American Deluxe Telecaster Electric Guitar:
I've had this guitar for several years and would never part with it. In my small recording studio I have more than 10 that were higher in price than this one. Even so, none of them can replace the sound and looks that comes from this Telecaster. If you place the pick up switch in the middle, then push the button in the middle of the volume knob. This Tele will hang in there with heavy medal if this is your cup of tea. The same can be said when playing country, classic rock, country, or anything else. These quiet pick ups are able to play any sound you wish, and the neck is a pleasue to play on. The finish is beyond my vocabulary, and among the best. This guitar has gone up in price a few hundred dollars since I purchased it. You should take note to this, and make a purchase before it goes up again.

Comments about Fender American Deluxe Telecaster Electric Guitar:
I bought my first Telecaster 40 years ago. It's a '72 Thinline with humbuckers. I've played and played it and worn it down a little but it's still a great guitar. But because of its age I've been looking for another guitar and had tried so many different brands and styles but there was always something I didn't like about the others. So yesterday I tried a Deluxe American Telecaster with the Cherry sunburst and maple neck and played it. I couldn't believe how good it sounded and how great the neck played. One hour later I bought it. The "Fender Telecaster" logo is in silver on the headstock - pretty nice looking. I also like the Made in USA on the back of the headstock. The finish and hardware are outstanding. I really like the locking tuners and I'm still messing around with the S1 switch. I think I like it because it sounds more like my humbuckers when kicked on. The case that it comes with is real nice and heavy duty but not too heavy with weight. I would recommend this to anyone. I probably won't get to play this one for 40 years, but I have three sons who play and I'm sure they'll want to play this one for years to come.
Comments about Fender American Deluxe Telecaster Electric Guitar:
The American Deluxe Telecaster is a great guitar, and extremely versatile! I had always wanted a tele since I started playing guitar at age 8. When I had pooled enough funds for my "dream guitar" this one seemed to be the best choice! Mine has the 3-tone sunburst finish with a maple neck and I LOVE it! I'm always getting compliments on how pretty my guitar is! I usually play through a Fender Hot Rod Deluxe amp.
The neck pickup is great for bluesy/warm/Clapton type tones, if you want a nice thin tone, mid-way on the selector will get you there no problem. and the bridge pickup is great for solos, and a chicken picker's dream! I generally play with my church band, so there are a good many instruments, but with that bridge pickup, the tele cuts right through the mix! And of course, the S1 system is a MUST! It gives great humbucking type tone for both rhythm and lead.
So in all, if you are looking for a tele, I'd say spend the extra and get this one! my dad had purchased a strat a couple years before I got my tele, and he says if he could do it over, he'd get this tele.
and of course, the best fact: MADE IN USA!!
Comments about Fender American Deluxe Telecaster Electric Guitar:
I told myself a long time ago I would never purchase a mail order guitar, too risky. I have been nothing but pleased with every aspect of this experience. The guitar itself is excellent regarding setup, intonation and playability. The alder body, color and finish are first rate. This is my first Telecaster and I am very happy with the extremely bright tone. I was alittle worried that it would sound thin with the single coil pickups, but with the right amp settings I believe this guitar could even pull off metal style playing. Overall I am exstatic with the looks and sound of this instrument. Fender did a great job!
The chrome plated brass bridge saddles, S1 switching system, strap locks, and the finish applied to the body are some of the best features associated with this Tele.
Upon close inspection regarding the wood grain of the alder body, the straight grain maple neck, dressing and polishing of the frets, and the manner in which the finish was applied is top notch. Every detail concerning the assembly and fit is very meticulously done. The alder body is absolutely gorgeous.
This is one high dollar guitar, it's shame you have to spend this much money to get this kind attention to detail and reasonably good materials. I own several high end instruments (PRS Custom 22 Artist model) and you would think for a high price, Fender would have at least sprung for an Ash body.
Comments about Fender American Deluxe Telecaster Electric Guitar:
This guitar was my first "real" guitar. I got it as a gift and was totally blown away. Any tone is possible with this guitar - from country to metal. The neck of this instrument is like butter, and very easy to play. Every piece of this guitar is top notch, the finish is mind boggling. If you are a serious guitarist and do not have this instrument... you are missing out.
Comments about Fender American Deluxe Telecaster Electric Guitar:
Well, I've always bought the MIM Teles in the past because I don't use a Tele very often. I'll be playing this one FAR more often because it's the nicest Fender guitar I've ever played! Right from the start, I opened the case and was awestruck by the build quality and appearance of this guitar. I have the Aged Cherry Burst with Maple neck, all I can say is WOW! The N3 pickups are much nicer in the Tele, I didn't care for them all that much in the Strat. The S1 functionality is quite usable on this guitar. Yeah, it's not a cheap guitar. But, if you are serious about tone and quality, this is it in spades! Love this guitar, zero complaints at all! Get yours and see what I mean!
