I love Fender Telecasters. Owned a $238 '68 that I sold for $6K this year. Built many Partscasters over the years and have 3 that I play presently. This new guitar is nice, but wasn't setup accurately at all. I have all the quality tags, but this guitar was not setup by anyone with care and competence. Fender needs to improve their quality control if this guitar is typical of what they are shipping.
Now that it is setup properly, it is a fine instrument, but could be a little lighter than 7lb 10oz. My '68 with swamp ash body was 7lb 2oz with Bigsby vibrato tailpiece.
