OVERVIEW

A Limited Edition model with a compound-radius fretboard and Custom Shop pickups.

Here' the workhorse American Standard Telecaster in a new limited edition model featuring Fender' innovative channel-bound compound-radius fingerboard and the time-honored look of a Sonic Blue gloss finish.

The fingerboard is inlaid into the neck in a design with an elegant appearance and a distinctive fretting-hand feel in which both edges are comfortably rounded, with no side seam between neck and fingerboard. Further, the fingerboard' 9.5-14 compound radius graduates smoothly from a more rounded profile at the nut (great for chording) to a more flattened profile near the body (great for soloing). Includes case.

Comments about Fender American Standard Telecaster with Channel Bound Fingerboard Electric Guitar:

I am loving this guitar. To start, this is obviously very close to an American Standard, just with a few unique twists. The pickups are great, very clear and articulate with excellent tone. The Twisted Tele Neck, is very "Stratty" warm and smooth. The Broadcaster Bridge is crisp and bright without being brittle or harsh. The bridge on mine is wound exceptionally hot, awesome for rock and blues. The middle position gives you a very nice warm bell-like sound. As for the differences, the neck is obviously a rose wood inlay, and done very well. It has 21 frets, all leveled and polished very nicely. It is also a compound radius 9.5-14.0 much like the deluxe models. Great for chords at the lower end and nice low action allows for great playability and lead work at the dusty end. The differences are few, but all together this instrument is unique in it's own right. Grabbed mine in Sonic Blue (one of my favorites from Fender) and it is beautiful. Best of all it is very difficult to see fingerprints on it. Paired with the inlaid fretboard, it looks very classy. Everything on it is very well done, like most American Standards it has good components, excellent pickups, a great finish and stays in tune. If you are in the market for an American made Telecaster and you want something a little different than the "masses" grab one of these (Blue or Red) you can't go wrong. An excellent instrument and right now an AWESOME price. I was able to use MF cyber sale and saved a ton of this gem. A great addition to my guitar arsenal. Just as a side note, I have seen other online sellers showing this guitar coming with a "Fender Pro" style case. Mine actually came in the "Red Handel" Gator style TSA case. I have 3 of these cases (all Teles) and they are very well made and very durable.
