Had for a year and still love it

Features:

The 5 way switch and two tone controls together with the hum-buckers deliver tremendous tone and variation. The fit and finish is very good. The 22 fret neck feels great. The tuners are the same as American standards and can be swapped for the locking units from the American deluxe series.

The mint green pick guard looks very cool.
Quality:

The only digs here are the cheep plastic nut and the narrow cast bridge block or inertia block as some call it. The pickups and electronics are top rate. The same cannot be said of the blacktop telecasters I played. Every Strat however sounded great. The tone controls offer a great range of tone adjustment, with one tone control for each pickup.  All the screws were tight.

Value:

I got one of the first ones the were $50 cheaper than the standard Strat. They seem to have figured out this is a better guitar than the standard and now it is usually at least $50 more than I paid.

Overall:

My friend and I both bought this model together and both love the sonic blue finish with the mint green pick guard. The sounds this model delivers are outstanding. I replaced the tuners with fender locking that drop right in. I replaced the bridge with the full width Mexican standard unit that really improves the sustain and puts the tremolo handle in the right place. The origional thin block forced the arm into the top of the guitar with the trem springs setup per Fender specs. I also upgraded the cheap plastic nut with a tusk unit that really helps the harmonic ring and open string sustain.  I own two other deluxe series strats, two American deluxe teles and an American origional factory Parker nitefly. I play the blacktop stratocaster the most.

Features:

It'll all there.  I was going to replace the pickups at first but then I decided to keep the stock.  It sounds amazing.  5 way switch with two tone knobs allow for a custom distinctive tone.  I'm not a fan of the chrome hardware but it was made to last.  My current favorite guitar.

Quality:

the maple neck and alder body provide rich tones.  It's well made.  But during shipping it does tend to arrive unbalanced.  It's an easy fix though.  Free Shipping.

Value:

these guitars will only go up in value.  550? Deal.

Overall:

I would buy it again.  But I already have one.  So you should.

Features:

Purchased this guitar for its ability to play many kinds of music.

Quality:

After taking the guitar from the package, I noticed that the pickguard was warped.  It was raised nearly half and inch between the pickups.  After a week, I noticed inlay on the back of the neck had a hairline separation.  I gave it two weeks and very much enjoyed playing the guitar.  At the end of the second week, I noticed that the separation had grown from about half an inch to six inches down the neck.  I immediatley returned the guitar for a full refund and instead purchased a Fender Highway one.

Value:

Not much of one.   An American made Highway One retail for $100-150 more than this guitar, or a beginner could get an equally well made guitar from squire for several hundred dollars less.

Overall:

Very disappointed with the purchase.  It sounds like the perfect deal.  The ability to get a humbucker sound, Strat profile, and a reasonably priced guitar all in one.  If it looks to good to be true...

The finish is excellent.  Came completely setup.  The only thing I can fault are the inlays on the finger board, they are painted on.
