Raw humbucking power with added single-coil versatility.

The Blacktop Stratocaster HSH amps up the already blistering Blacktop Stratocaster HH model with the unusual addition of a single-coil Telecaster middle pickup amid the full-throttle neck and bridge humbucking pickups. A scorchingly formidable guitar that was already extremely versatile thus becomes even more so.

Features include an alder body, maple neck, 9.5”-radius rosewood fretboard with 22 medium jumbo frets and aged white position markers, humbucking neck and bridge pickups, single-coil Telecaster middle pickup, five-way pickup switching, three-ply pickguard (black-white-black), skirted black amp knobs (one volume, two tone) and black trem arm tip, Blacktop Stratocaster vintage-style tremolo and chrome hardware.

    Features

    • Alder body
    • 25.5" Scale C-shape maple neck
    • 9.5" Radius rosewood fretboard, 22 medium jumbo frets
    • Blacktop Tele single-coil middle pickup
    • Blacktop Humbucking Strat neck and bridge pickups
    • Master volume and tone
    • 5-Way pickup selector switch
    • Vintage-style synchronized tremolo

Comments about Fender Blacktop Stratocaster HSH Electric Guitar:

I have two other guitars, a Schecter Omen Extreme and a Squire Classic Vibe 50s Strat. I love the sound of this guitar. It also feels really nice to play with a great neck that feels reasonably fast and good. I was able to adjust the action to my liking without any fret buzz and the intonation is spot on. The main problem and this was a big on is that I discovered that the Telecaster Pickup and the Bridge pickup have loose chrome covers. The middle cover is so loose that it rattles I if tap the pickguard. This tapping is able to be heard in through the amp as well, which suggest it is microphonic. I am still waiting for Fender to help me resolve this.

Apart from all this you'd imagine that I dont like the guitar. To the contrary I love playing with it and look forward to getting it fixed.

Comments about Fender Blacktop Stratocaster HSH Electric Guitar:

I bought my Blacktop about a month ago from a local music store. As soon as I picked it up it absolutely amazed me with its novel sounding pickups. In fact, the middle pickup is an actual Tele neck pickup, not a Strat pickup. This means if you want the Strat single-coil sound you may be slightly disappointed. It isn't as warm as a standard Strat due to this. However it still sounds just as great as an ordinary Strat if not more so. The humbuckers also give this guitar a Gibson or Ibanez sound, pulling off Van Halen or Slash shreds with ease. If you see one pick it up and try it, its guaranteed not to disappoint!

This thing is Awesome!! Give it a test drive with a nice tube amp and you will be amazed. This thing will kick the door in with it's humbuckers. Just awesome! Fender nailed this one! For under $600, it is a downright steal!

    Lerve It!

    By Jim Graham

Comments about Fender Blacktop Stratocaster HSH Electric Guitar:

I sat down at my local guitar store (World Music Nashville) and played all the new Blacktops. This one was my favorite. It has a great neck, a good weight, played great, great neck, felt good, the trem seemed to work well, it looks great and that is one helluva a pickup selection. You can play anyhting with it. I have been playing Les Pauls a lot lately but this thing is just as good. I want one!!!
    It looks great.
    It plays great.
    I love the pickup config
    It has a great neck.
    The setup was great.
I always change stock pickups and these sounded great to me. I would leave them.
    Trem seems to be stable.
The guitar has a nice wieght.
    Black on black!!!
    I want it.
I hate a cheap feeling guitar and this things feels like a quality instrument.
This is a ton of guitar at a super cheap price. So cheap I wonder why I just don't go grab it. It feels like a $900 guitar.
