Save your money

By burned on a tele

from Orlando , Florida

I bought one of the "flower power" floral teles, brand new in box, this guitar has the WORST pickups of any Fender going... I actually think these are the same pickups as my Squire Tele's - this guitar is nothing different from a Mexican made "Standard" - just a different paint job, which is kinda cheap as well... save your money! If you have to buy a telecaster - get a Mexican made... don't waste your extra bucks on this garbage

Best deal on a new tele ever!

These things are the deal! Excellent craftsmanship, only slightly more nasally pickups than most teles (add some gain and it's gone)

Unreal! The Japanese make Lexus, and a mean guitar

By M. Wilton

from Seattle

I love the feel of this neck, the sound is amazing. The harmonics are outrageous! I played 3 or 4 top notch American made Tele's and I kept coming back to this one. A real GEM! Especially since they are not making them again, the value is sure to be big later on!

Rather poor attempt to recreate a classic guitar

By Blewsman

from New Wilmington, PA

In 1968, Fender produced the Pink Paisley and Blue Flower finished Telecaster. The finish was fabricated using self adhesive wallpaper and fogging the edges and routing holes with pink or blue paint, although both reissues are an attempt to recreate this effect, the match to the original is pretty poor. Also, a major disappointment for you will be the recreation of the 1968 Telecaster pickups, which, due to the poor quality control, then an improper shielding and waxing of the pickups, a very frustrating howl is produced. This is microphoning of the pickups, especially the neck pickup. This is very noticeable when playing facing the amplifier. It is not as noticeable when playing at 90 degrees from the amp. The only thing you can do is to send the pickups back to a Fender Repair Center to have them properly waxed (good luck at getting any service), or to replace the pickups with a modern replica. You will be very disappointed with your reissue, as it will give you the same problem as the originals. Also, this is the first time I have bought a guitar in this price range that didn't come with a case, or at least a gig bag. There was no head tag or even an owner's manual. Just a guitar wrapped in plastic foam in a flimsy cardboard box. Be prepared to have some trouble with your new Fender Reissue Telecaster.

So bad, I couldn't give it away...

By Vanclaw

from Millwaukee, WI

Don't even think about buying this product, unless you are absolutely sure it is right for you. You will not get a fair price to sell it at. I tried to give it away at a lawn sale, and no one wanted it... for free! It is in the dumpster now.
