I recently puchased this guitar and it's great. It had been years since I'd played a 12 string, and was surprised at the comfort and ease of play in this guitar. 2 weeks after getting it, I played it with the church choir and it was awesome. However, I can't say much positive about the free case that came with it. It's a very nice case, but the guitar doesn't fit in it without modification. I had to cut away some of the lining and remove some of the foam behind it so the guitar would fit. Even then, it's so tight the zippers won't work properly and I'm concerned about axial force on the neck. I have to leave a portion unzipped or the zippers bind and separate. I'll probably replace it. You'd think Fender could supply a case for this guitar that it would actually fit in. Were it not for the issues with the case, I'd rate this guitar a solid 5.

I have had this guitar for almost 2 years now. It has held up well, aside from the inevitable light finish scratches. Also, the little plastic part of the bridge that the strings rest on snapped the last time I restringed it. It is a pain to find the right sized bridge piece. Acoustically, this guitar lacks that magical warmth of a good tonewood guitar. But, it has pretty good playability, good action, and decent electronics. Plugged in, it is not very loud, but has a much better sound. Smooth, level, and warm. Having played a lot of top notch acoustic guitars, I would say to save your money for a higher quality guitar. But if you are like me, and can't wait to have your hands on a 12, this will hold you over for a while.

Great guitar

This is a nice twelve string to play. The tuner is also really helpful because it can hear even the slightest out of tune string. It also runs very well through amps. Its a great buy and worth the money. The action is good and it is really easy to play open chords.

Perfection

I bought my CD160E a year ago at a post holiday sale. there were two there at an amazing price. I thought there must be something wrong... yeah it was me. The action, tone, pick up and tuner are amazing. I only wish I'd bought the other one as well. If your gonna get a twelve there is no better choice.

Fender 12 string

By JWBDB

I have had this guitar for 2 years. I found it hard to play. (I mainly play electric.) The last time I changed the strings, I lowered the bridge and put Adams 11's on it. What a difference!! I've always like the tone. It also stays in tune well. Korea is turning decent guitars.

WOW! Great value

By chris c.

I just purchased this guitar and it's a dream right out of the box. I think this might be the best deal on a guitar out there. Beautiful tone, playability and looks great. The on board tuner works perfectly (and I had limited experience with tuning a 12 string). The electronics are very nice. I plugged in to my recording console right away and it sounds great there too. The craftsmanship for the price is stunning. Anyone looking for an affordable 12 string, look no further. Love this guitar! Nice job Fender. This is a steal at this price.

I have played many 12 string acoustics. But this fender 12 string is one of the best that i've played. The action alone basicly makes you play the blues. The Fisherman pickups just add to the overall greatness. Highly recomend it.

Great Buy

By Guitarman-HLJic

I purchased this guitar because I'm comfortable with Fender quality. I play in a small church setting, and this guitar sounds great. The craftsmanship and quality are very Fender. It is a very playable instrument, even for the amateur.
