Comments about Fender CD 280SCE Dreadnought Cutaway Acoustic-Electric Guitar:

Received the guitar in perfect condition. Not one flaw. Set up correctly from factory. Seems to be made with USA Fender specifications. Nice mellow overtones unplugged.Fishman tuner is a plus. It does sound like my other guitars amped. Been playing for over 50 years and am very happy with the purchase.

    Nice, sweet sounding fender

Comments about Fender CD 280SCE Dreadnought Cutaway Acoustic-Electric Guitar:

I picked this one out of six or seven guitars the were all in this same price range. The neck is raw and smooth and has a good solid feel to it. The frets are clean with no sharp edges and no buzzes anywhere on the board. Fit and finsh is much better than one would expect for an acoustic in this price range. Most important is the sound, the sound is crisp with nice low end, not muddy, smooth mid-range and sweet ringing highs. This one flat out sounded the best un-plugged. Just strumming in the living room fills my small house with sound. I have completely fallen for this thing! All my other guitars have been sitting since.

    Nice Guitar!

Comments about Fender CD 280SCE Dreadnought Cutaway Acoustic-Electric Guitar:

I noted the strong points of this guitar above. This is a good guitar value.
The best features of this guitar are the spruce top, the mahogany neck, the machine heads, and the Fishman preamp. The spruce top on my guitar has tight grain and sounds a great deal like a sitka spruce top. The mahogany neck feels like quality. It has good heft and is finished with a material that allows my hand to move quickly up and down. The frets are nicely finished. The machine heads keep it in tune from day to day. The preamp includes a handy tuner. The Fishman preamp is simple but effective. It's also helpful that when using the tuner, the preamp goes quiet so the audience does not need to hear my tuning adjustments. I'm not crazy about the laminate back and sides, but I did not pay for a solid body guitar either. Plugged in, I'm sure this guitar sounds very similar to the solid wood Fender acoustic electrics. It really sounds good unplugged, too. It has a good range of sounds from bass to treble. Its a good guitar.
It was manufactured cleanly. Everything fits and was finished well. It compares well to other brands in this price range. The quality of the preamp gives it a leg up on the competition in my experience.
I believe the price is just about right for the quality of this guitar.
