Comments about Fender CD-60 Dreadnought Acoustic Guitar:

Replace the Fender factory strings with Elixirs, and this guitar is worth far more than the asking price IMO. New strings easily add a couple hundred to the sound. Plus the full dreadnought body tends to be very bass-y, so bright Elixir Nanowebs help with that a lot. Had mine for almost 4 years now (it was my starter guitar) and I'm only just starting to be limited by its capabilities. Rings very nicely for a laminated guitar, and harmonics are way easier than they should be on an entry-level. Action is a bit high, but again, not what I would expect for spending so little $$$. Had mine set up at a store and brought it in shortly after I bought it because of a fret buzz, but other than that no problems. I've dropped it, chipped the headstock, and honestly not treated it super well, and it still plays as well as the day I bought it.

If you want a good guitar to jam and get you through your learning years and then some, I HIGHLY recommend this guitar.

Comments about Fender CD-60 Dreadnought Acoustic Guitar:

Went to my local music store cos i wanted to buy a mid quality accoustic (had in mind the Epiphone Hummingbird.
When i got to the store there was this guy that was noodling around and was a good player so i got him to play a couple guitars .....
The hummingbird was in my taste very trebly ........
Then i got him to play a Guild, a Boucher and a Larivée all three great sounding and quite expensive guitars.
Then i asked him to try the cd 60 and i couldn't believe how well it stood against these great guitars ...........
I bought it right away at a ridiculously low price and the next week bought the 12 string cd120 for not much more ...........
      Great guitars ..
My only concern is I just hope they age well........
Well i've been playing these for around 3 years now (I Think) and they are still perfect .......... No issues!!

Comments about Fender CD-60 Dreadnought Acoustic Guitar:

After getting back into playing after being away for years, I was looking for a entry level guitar that wouldn't sound like a child's toy.

I began my search by first choosing "Country of Origin" -USA, then 5-Star ratings. I took the remaining choices and began my research. I read various reveiws and watched youtube videos and decided this was one of the better choices in its price range. The fact that it came with a hard case was a plus as well.

Results after gettting it: Sadly, it isn't manufactured in the USA, its made in Indonesia. So I suppose Country of Origin must mean where the company was founded?

I thought the finish was nice and it looked solid overall. The action was great and the sound was perfect for what I paid. The case is nicely lined with the typical storage compartment at the neck. The latches seem a bit "light" but once again, fine for the money.

I may not be an expert player but I am picky consumer. I beleive I got my money's worth with this purchase and I am very happy with it. I had a cheap Martin DX1 previously and I beleive I like this Fender better at half the price. It seems to play better in my opinion. Until I can play worthy of a top of the line guitar, this one will suit me fine.

Comments about Fender CD-60 Dreadnought Acoustic Guitar:

This Fender CD-60 Naturel is far above my expectations for an all-laminated acoustic. It sounds better (sweeter and more balanced) than my Richwood Master Series dreadnought with solid top, so go figure. The tone really rings through, also fingerpicked and the body actually 'vibrates' and breathes, something an all laminated guitar normally shouldn't do and it reminds me of the old Yamaha FG's in this regard. Very solid built guitar, straight neck, well set-up and warm in tone; mine definately seems to have opened up through the years and I can't wait for a professional set-up to go from 11 gauge strings to 12's with slightly lower action and with the nut grooves cut a bit lower for smoother grip at the first fret; this has to turn out pretty magical as it is already just a warm and sweet sounding acoustic which can only get better and warmer with thicker strings.

Comments about Fender CD-60 Dreadnought Acoustic Guitar:

I bought an Ovation guitar a few months back and after about a month I noticed something rattling around inside. On further inspection I realized a piece of the bracing had come loose and fell off. The guitar never sounded right and it had fret buzzing which could not be fixed. I sent it back and MF being the greatest company for musical instruments took care of it no questions asked.

A friend of mine told me about the CD-60 so I figured I would give it a try, I was not disappointed. I have been playing for 35 years and I have played just about everything out there.

The natural CD-60 is just beautiful. It has a rich tone and the sustain is wonderful. It feels good to play, I have small hands and it is very comfortable to play. I was also shocked to see it came with a free hard shell case. Its constructed very well and has nice bracing.

Does it sound as good as a Martin or Taylor? No, but for the price it beats a lot of 600-1000 guitars I have played which was a surprise.

Don't worry, go ahead and buy one, you wont be disappointed.

Comments about Fender CD-60 Dreadnought Acoustic Guitar:

I bought this guitar as my first about a year ago. As a fairly new player, I wanted a decent guitar for practicing without breaking the bank. Shortly before I puchased this I had the use of a 15 year old Martin D-28 for a couple of weeks. Nice guitar to be sure, but not $2000 more guitar than the CD-60. It came from MF very well set-up and only required a quick tune-up and it was ready to play. Nice warm tone with good sound projection. Stays in tune extremely well too. Fretboard plays nicely with a nice medium action. The sunburst finish is very attractive. Not the nicest redition of a sunburst I've seen, but its very pretty and the guitar in general seems well constructed. With the included hardshell case this guitar is a steal. GET ONE!

Comments about Fender CD-60 Dreadnought Acoustic Guitar:

The only reason this quality instrument got a 4 star instead of 5 is because Fender tries to pass off an Orange guitar as "Sunburst". Unless it is just my particular guitar...there is no "Sunburst" to this guitar; it is orange.
I am not disappointed though, because it is still beautiful, and unique (the spruce top goes extremely well with the mahogany back and sides). In fact, I have named mine 'Jeruk', which is Indonesian for orange.
By the way; please understand---though these Fender guitars are "assembled" in Indonesia, does not mean they are of less quality than American made. Fender materials, Fender spec's, Fender made.
The sound is awesome. Nice crisp and resonating. I have never heard an acoustic sustain steady sound so long.
Not only is this a 'keeper', it is currently my most played guitar in my collection of six.
If you are in the market for an acoustic, I can guarantee this one will not disappoint.
