I've played for 30+ years, but I don't gig anymore. I wanted a 12 string to add to my collection, but didn't need to spend a lot. This guitar is great - it would survive well for a working musician, but it is an absolute perfect fit for the practicing or casual guitarist. Action and playability are fantastic (almost 6-string like), the sound is quite good. Of course the neck is a bit heavy, but it holds on a strap well and is also comfy sitting down. I was pleased to see there are two strap buttons, saving me from having yet another string wrapped around an acoustic neck. The guitar has pretty standard features, the build/finish quality is a bit above par compared to some of my other more expensive guitars, the value is fantastic.
The Fender CD100-12 is a pretty nice guitar for the price. It sounds beautiful, as do most 12 strings, and has surprising low-action for a typical 12. The Fender "Classic Design" body shape maybe a little awkward at first, if you are used to playing standard dreadnoughts, but I found it to be more comfortable after playing on it for a while. The factory strings should almost immediately be replaced because only sound good for about a week. The finish isn't glossy and may have a few burs in it, but overall pretty decent. For the price of this 12 string, I couldn't be happier.
I recently bought this Fender 12-string. I have own other 12 strings in the past. This guitar is a good buy for the money. Good action, decent tone, and ease of playability make the Fender CD-100 a great value.
This is my first acoustic and my first 12 string so i'm not completely sure what to be looking for but so far what i have played with my electrics this guitar is wonderful!!! only thing i would change is to give it a cut out so it would have higher fret access@@
