The Fender CD-220SCE acoustic-electric guitar features exotic ovangkol wood for the back and sides, topped off with a solid spruce top. The CD-220SCE also features a Fender-designed dreadnought body, X-bracing, and die-cast tuners. The cutaway body design provides comfort when accessing the upper-register frets. The rosewood bridge features a compensated bone nut, so your Fender acoustic guitar stays in precise tuning from song to song, and sounds great doing so.
The Fender CD220 SCE guitar's Presys Onboard Preamp System offers maximum control, performance, and quality in a small, unobtrusive format. This compact sophisticated Presys system features volume, bass, mid, and treble controls, a Phase switch, and a built-in tuner with LED display. Presys preamps also include a pre-wired Fishman Sonicore pickup for solder-free, plug-and-play installation; a low battery indicator; low-profile control knobs; and a unique pivot design for easy access to the battery compartment.
Other unique features on the Fender CD220 SCE acoustic-electric guitar include: matching burl ash headstock overlay, factory mounted forward strap button with internal block reinforcement, dual action truss rod, dot position inlays, no pickguard, black bound fingerboard, inlaid back center stripe mosaic, black with white dot bridge pins.

To start off, I hate Fender. In fact, the only brand I hate more than Fender is First Act, and they don't even deserve to be called guitars. This in mind, I was very skeptical about this guitar to begin with. Man was I wrong. I played this alongside my brother's Taylor 110ce, and they sound just alike. The guitar is beautiful. The two tone, natural wood is aesthetically perfect. The cutaway makes soloing high on the neck a breeze, unlike most other acoustic guitars I've played. Finally, the price is unbeatable. I would pay twice this price for this guitar. It's an incredible valuable for a great guitar. I would suggest this instrument to anyone looking to pick up a high quality, low price guitar.

I've seen and heard a lot of people say negative things about Fender Acoustics. I was never really interested myself, but never had a vendetta against them either. I trust the Fender brand becuase I've used their basses and amps previously. When I saw this beauty in the store I figured I'd give it a try. I was hooked and a week later my wife got it for me for an anniversay gift. If you're looking for a versatile Acoustic-Electric cutaway, look no futher than this guitar. I've me my match!
SOLID Spruce top, gorgeous ovangkol b/s, Abalone Rosette, gold tuning machines, cutaway and a Fishman pickup Who could ask for more? the only thing I'm not crazy about it the strap button on the bass side of the upper bout, but that's more or less a cosmetic thing I can live with considering all the other great things about this guitar.
The wood is nicely finished and inside the guitar is nice and clean without any glue or messy kerfing (sp)? Great sound plugged and unplugged. The Fishman pickup has a Phase button and built-in tuner that cuts the battery when you turn it on so that you can tune without the audience hearing at a gig. I use other Fishman products and I highly trust this brand. The only reason I didn't give a 10 was the next was ever so slightly bowed and I had to to a slight tweak on the truss rod. But it was more of a personal issue becuase I like my action VERY low.
Definitley worth the money, the value of the Fender CD220SCE far exceeds other guitars in this price range and some above it!
