Comments about Fender Classic Design Series CN-240SCE Cutaway Thinline Classical Acoustic-Electric Guitar:

I've owned my Fender CN-240SCE Thinline Classical Acoustic Electric Guitar for about two years now, and love to use it in church. My hands are so used to a Tele neck that I am uncomfortable on a wide classical fingerboard and this hybrid allows me to produce the unique nylon/classical sound with familiar (to me) technique. The Fishman unit is super, and the overall value at this price is outstanding. SKB-30 case fits swell.

The Fender thinline has the thinnest neck of all the nylon string acoustics I looked at. Nice tone and feel.

Comments about Fender Classic Design Series CN-240SCE Cutaway Thinline Classical Acoustic-Electric Guitar:

Bought for my son to learn on. As soon as it arrived we opened the box and the first thing I saw was the corroded strings (the E A D strings have a metal covering and they were corroded) and the action was higher than I would have liked. Since you pay two shipping costs when you return an item (the original "free shipping" is now deducted from your return and you pay to send it back), I would rather sell it than pay the excess return fees. My son liked it though as it is a nice looking guitar and the strings and action can be fixed. I bought a Fender acoustic years ago and it left a bad taste in my mouth - but the price was right in the area we were looking to pay. I have no trust for the big names anymore when there are so many new companies with better quality control. I told him we could get another and get rid of this and that he can talk it over with other guitarists he respects so we might still sell it off. It is playable and has some good qualities so I gave it a 4 star, but Fender you have no respect from me.
