Comments about Fender Custom Shop 2011 Custom Deluxe Strat Flame Top Electric Guitar:
Incredible looks and feel--this isn't an acoustic: obviously, with an electric, your amp and effects--all of these components determine your "sound".
I'm tired now.
In all seriousness, instead of buying 2 or 3 "lesser" guitars, consider buying one of these.
Call Scott Weinmann or Chris Slopes (the toll-free number is above, just click into "Private Reserve".
No, I don't work here, but these Custom Deluxe Flame Top Stratocasters feel oh, so good in your hands: just opening the case and seeing my baby looking so beautiful was un-Believable!
But then, even more Magic!--whether you get the Maple fretboard or the Rosewood fretboard, the neck is the same for both--and IT IS THE SMOOTHEST, SILKIEST!!!...
Seriously: last year I had bought my first guitar in years: a really nice Thin Skin (Sonic Blue w/ Rosewood fb).
I thought it was The Best!
6 months later, however, I ended-up splurging and I bought one of these Custom Deluxe Strats. Oh, man--frankly, it's like catching a buzz: I'm simply not adequate as a descriptionist to be able to discription the phenomenon to you.
It's something that you just have to do for yourself.
So, instead of buying yet more cheap or "almost-great" firewood, lol, why not at least call up and find out what the deal is, how long you can keep it in order to decide...
When I got my first (I've got 5 now, lol)
I say, then: when I first got my first Custom Deluxe Strat, firstly I was so smitten that I would only play the Custom Deluxe (you just get a BRAND NEW Corvette with the 850 bbl engine--and, what?--you're telling me you're going to park after only 5 minutes to take the kids to Nursey School in the '79 Volvo??? Yeah, right. And you call yourself a Strat Player?
