Comments about Fender Custom Shop George Fullerton 50th Anniversary 1957 Stratocaster Electric Guitar and Pro Junior Amp:
Sorry, but the "relic" trend is losing its faith everywhere and is astoundingly overrated. I wish I had never bought this setup as I am extremely disappointed. It is knothheads such as myself pushing the "relic" trend, and I can safely say that I will never buy another relic anything from Fender. The concept was cool for a while, but it's getting old and stale. Had the axe and amp and case been new (like as it was made in the first place), I think my complaints would be less, but not much. First of all, this is nothing more than a sales gimmick, and I feel scammed all the way. I have been a Fender backer for most of my life, but after paying out this kind of bucks on this shoddy setup, man am I thinking I need to start migrating over to the other guys making real Leo Fender envisioned axes. Fullerton knows how to make an axe, but hey there's nothing special about this one. Playability is average at best, and there is nothing special about the tone of this axe. I find myself picking up the Hot Rod '57 and leaving this one sit in the case. I bought this one to play. I'm not one of those "buy it to collect to sell later" players. I buy axes to play, and play hard, so this is quite a major disappointment. The relic job looks like my nephew was messing around in the garage with an oil can and I see no rhyme or reason to how they relic'd this setup. Frankly, I can see the employees of Fender who fragged this setup laughing at me for how stupid I am for buying the darn setup in the first place. Buy the Hotrod '57, Vintage '57, or the awesome Hotrod '62 and get your money's worth. You can get all three for about what you're paying for this setup. And, the amp is total grunge (lacks tone and is nothing better than an end table). I paid for this in full, cannot stomach how stupid I was for buying it in the first place, and live and learn is what I'm doing (with a lot less money in my wallet). I'd glady take 80% of what I paid right now for this setup and take the loss. Just not happy with it at all.
Comments about Fender Custom Shop George Fullerton 50th Anniversary 1957 Stratocaster Electric Guitar and Pro Junior Amp:
This guitar is beautifully built. While the guitar is not for the buyer looking for a nice player, it is a beautiful reproduction of the most desireable strat ever produced. The 57 two tone. You should buy this guitar with the collector value in mind, and not as an everyday guitar.

This guitar is of very high quality, however for the amazingly expensive price there should be more features than just this, unless electric guitar is your entire life, or you are rich and can afford to buy this with no "damage" done to your wallet do not buy this guitar
