I bought a Daphne blue Cyclone II on eBay about a year ago. When I got it, it needed a lot of work, and I don't know what was due to the previous owner's neglect/abuse versus what was just intrinsic to the factory setup. After a good cleanup and home adjustment, I found the guitar just misery to play and pretty weak sounding. I let it sit around for months. Finally, I took it to a pro for setup, and now it's my favorite guitar. The chief adjustments made were correcting the neck angle and raising the pickups. These two changes made it supercomfortable to play and gave it a monster tone. My main issue is a common complaint about Jaguar selector switches: If I'm not paying attention, I'll often just switch all the pickups off. Would it really have been so hard to make down on and up off? I'm thinking about reversing the switches myself to solve this problem. I use it with a Fender Blues Jr. either with or without a Digitech RP 1000 processor, and either way, it sounds fantastic. It's a beautiful guitar to look at, it's fun to play, and it sounds like a million damn dollars. If you can find one, get it, but get a pro setup from a tech you trust to get the most out of it.

I purchased this guitar about a year ago. It was a factory blem but I never expected the blem to affect the tone and playability. Instead of returning it I tried to correct the problems my self. I was able to correct the neck missalignment, the crooked pickups, the saddle adjustment screws that dug into my right palm but I have not been able to correct the poor tone, low volume of #1 E string or string buzz even after trying three different types of strings and two additional sets of saddles. I previously owned a Squire Affinity Strat that sounded just as good as the Cyclone at half the price. I have purchased other guitars from M.F. that I am very pleased With and you will still be my main source for gear.

I bought this guitar a month ago and i have fallen in love with it. I love how it's a combo of a mustang body, jazzmaster neck, strat trem., and the jaguar switches and pickups. it sounds great for just about anything and it has lots of tone options.

Great Deal For Jaguar Sound

By MJ70

from Carson City, NV

Much better deal than a Japanese Jaguar Reissue because you get genuine American Vintage Jaguar pickups. 3 of them, even. Total control over each pickup on/off gives 7 different choices. Plus, the stripe is just cool.

An awesome Fender mix

This guitar is pretty awsome, I like how it's a mix of several fender Guitars. I like the Jaguar Pickups, the Strat Bridge and Tremolo, And the Smaller Body shape, The switches, however, kinda confused me at first but i got the hang of it. Also i wish the Neck was a 25 1/2 scale length and the Pickguard was 3-Ply White instead of Pearloid. Overall it's an awesome guitar for pretty much any style of music, a Must Buy.
