OVERVIEW

A powerful electric that brings vintage tone without hum.

Fat, hard-rockin’ sound and elegant Fender style unite in the Deluxe Strat HSS, a versatile tone machine with power to spare. The rich, warm humbucking bridge pickup adds a touch of thickness to the instrument’s voice, while special electronics ensure traditional Strat tone is close at hand; ready to go at a moment’s notice.

A time-tested performer on stage and in the studio, this graceful performer with smooth, comfortable playing feel will easily handle any sonic needs that arise. Two noise-free, highly articulate Vintage Noiseless pickups inhabit the neck and middle positions, cranking out traditional, crisp Strat tones.

The Twin Head Vintage humbucking pickup in the bridge position has moderate output, warm tone and even string response, as well as including a thick aluminum base plate to reduce magnetic interference. For traditional Strat tones, simply tap the S-1switch atop the volume knob to select the rear coil of the bridge pickup—voila, instant classic Strat sound.

Enjoy smoother travel when using the tremolo bridge, thanks to the modern two-point synchronized design, which includes bent steel saddles for classic aesthetics. A contoured neck heel and 4-bolt asymmetrical neck plate make it easy to comfortably reach the upper registers of the neck. The flatter 12”-radius fingerboard makes it easy to play fast leads and perform deep bends without fretting out.

Locking short-post tuning machines provide increased break angle at the nut for buzz-free playing and enhanced tuning stability, along with quicker string changes. Sporting authentic Fender style and versatile sound, the Deluxe Strat HSS is the ideal instrument for players who need a variety of tones for the stage or the studio. Includes gig big.

Like Butter

Comments about Fender Deluxe HSS Stratocaster with Maple Fingerboard:

Smoothest axe I've ever played. Hands down. Like butter. Neck feels perfect, sound is top notch, the noiseless pickups carry remarkable tone- plays better than my friend's American Deluxe and the sound is honestly comparable. Blizzard Pearl finish and 70s headstock definitely an aesthetic plus, love the extended radius fingerboard- truly a "deluxe" in terms of value. I enthusiastically recommend this guitar to anyone with two hands.

In The Strat - O-Sphere!

Comments about Fender Deluxe HSS Stratocaster with Maple Fingerboard:

My first Strat! This is the sporty companion to my ES-335, and it's a joy to play. I like the HSS setup; the pickups are crisp and lively in all five switch positions, and the action of the maple fretboard is light and easy on these 65-year-old hands. I can finally do a 1-1/2 fret bend without contortions. Like any good guitar, it opens up whole new possibilities. I mostly play blues and classic rock, and this Strat fits both beautifully in both feel and tone. Makes me wonder why I waited.

Comments about Fender Deluxe HSS Stratocaster with Maple Fingerboard:

This is a review of the 2016 Fender Deluxe Stratocaster HSS in the Brown-burst. There are not very many reviews on this guitar online, so I thought I would share some info. Fender is still selling them, and they are in inventory everywhere. I've had the guitar now for about 2 months and, though at first I thought I might return it ..now I really like it. I will start with the good stuff:

It's a beautiful guitar and made very well
Most of it feels USA
Pickups sound great when leveled right
Locking Tuners!
12-inch radius neck (love it or hate it)
2-point floating bridge
Mint Green Pickguard!
Electronics & Pots feel like quality and are smooth.
22 frets!
It's a FENDER!
The Concerns, though nothing too bad.

The Weight -its heavy cause -it's a MIM.
Fender sends these out with wrong pup heights
Bridge pickup in full mode -is TWICE as loud as any other combination
Noiseless single coils are low output
Some tuning problems
Main concern is that the pups are all over the place like Fender wasn't sure what they wanted.. it's very workable, but I think Fender just wanted to use up some old parts and make a quality guitar. I hated the sound for about a week, then I read some reviews and learned that the pickups are very sensitive to the height. I spent a few days tweaking the two single coils, and now I have that sweet strat sound back. I suggest adding about 1mm to what Fender says to have them at (for the noiseless). The bridge is sensitive too, and you will have to compromise between coil split or full humbucker mode because of the volume differences. After tweaking all pups, I can get John Mayer, Clapton, SRV ..you get the idea. This guitar is NOT bright and in humbucker mode sounds warm and chimey. In split mode, it brightens up a bit, but not to the specs of a normal strat bridge pickup, its more middy. You can get 7 sound combinations, I will be using only about

Comments about Fender Deluxe HSS Stratocaster with Maple Fingerboard:

I am primarily a bass player but I have been wanting a better guitar. After talking to some excellent guitar players that I have performed with in the past, this is the guitar that was reccomended to me. This is a great guitar. After it came in, I took it to my trusty guitar luthier. I had him do a basic set up and add a bone nut to it. That made it sound even more epic. I couldn't be any happier with my purchase.
