This is a GREAT guitar, but it is not perfect for me yet. After a few customizations, I have a feeling that it will be though! Let me just comment on a few individual things...

Tex-Mex single coils - These sound pretty good. The only thing that I've noticed is that the B and high E strings seem a little bit "lifeless" to my ear. I'm assuming this might change after I have the guitar properly set up by a guitar tech. Maybe the strings are currently just too far from the pole pieces (the action is pretty high). I'm hoping I like them more after the tech does his thing.

Tex-Mex humbucker - This doesn't seem too BAD, but I don't love it either. Not an issue to me because I was planning on replacing this with a high-output DiMarzio humbucker anyhow. I want this guitar to really "scream" when playing hard rock/metal through a Mesa Triple Rec just as much as I want it to be squeeky clean for softer acoustic tunes through a Music Man HD130. Replacing the humbucker just works better for my personal taste.

Fishman Piezo - Sounds great! Everyone I've showed it to was very impressed with the sound I got from the piezo. The setting that I've found to be the best to my ear is to use the neck pickup with tone turned the whole way down in combination with the piezo. The piezo takes care of the "twang" and "Bright" sound while the neck pickup adds more low end to give the sound some extra body.

If you need versatility like me and don't mind putting the money into making some customizations to this guitar, you'll really be able to make yourself the perfect instrument. In addition to switching out the humbucker (and heck, maybe the single coils eventually) I am also buying a custom pickguard so that I can rearrange the controls. I personally don't love the location of the strat volume knob. It's too close to the strings for my liking and it gets in the way of my pinky finger during certain riffs. That is an issue I have with all strats though.

In summary... great guitar! It's certainly not PERFECT, but it does absolutely have a strong potential to become so.
I love the features of this guitar. I gave it an 8 because I really feel like Fender could have taken it one step further. I bought this guitar to be my "all-purpose" instrument since my band plays a lot of music that requires acoustic/clean guitar and a lot of music that requires that high-gain humbucker sound. I love the fact that you have the option of single coil(s), humbucker, and/or piezo! That is something I've been wanting in a guitar for a very long time now!

Now, as for the reason that I didn't give a 10... There is no way to switch from Magetic pickups to piezo (or to mix both) at the flip of a switch. If you want to switch between the types of pickups you actually have to roll on/off the corresponding volume knobs. I really don't think I'll have time in the middle of most songs to completely turn down one knob, turn up another knob, and potentially also make a change on 5-way selector. This isn't a HUGE problem because I've already talked to my local guitar tech and he is going to install a additional 3-way selector switch for me to fix this. Not a HARD fix, but I just feel like it's something that Fender could have done right at the factory to really win a 10 out of 10 from me, personally.
I really can't complain about quality... everything works... seems like it's going to KEEP working... what more could you ask for? haha

I've only had the guitar for a few days, but so far so good!!
I got mine on sale for much less than the regular price so I'm VERY happy with the value I got.

You've got to look at it this way... Fishman bridges certainly aren't cheap. I decided that I'd get a MUCH better value to just get a guitar that already has one included!

If I were spending a lot on this guitar I'd have a hard time not just upgrading to the American model, BUT then you don't get a Fishman included I'm actually pretty happy so far with the quality of this Mexican model anyhow. I'm not too concerned about it not being an American.

For me, this is a fantastic value.

I had one of these on loan for a couple of gigs while my tele was getting fixed and DANG! I loved this guitar. The thing sounds fantastic. The acoustic pickup is cool, but I played it mainly electric while I had it. One of the coolest Fender's I've ever played. Wish I would have bought it from him.

I play accustic guitar all the time but with the work I do and playing accustic my shoulders have been killing me. I thought I was going to have to stop playing the guitar. Until I tried a strat, the way they are contoured fits like a glove and it does not hurt my shoulder. With the piezzo and tex-mex pick ups I can still sound like an accustic and have the comfort of a Strat. Thanks Fender. It did however come with two small dings on the back side, I called and they took care of me on the phone and could not be happier, I love my Power Strat.

I replaced the neck with a custom inlayed neck and found a cardboard shim between the body and neck. Replaced the ugly pickguard and found the control cavity full of sawdust. The neck was also mounted cock-eyed, I kept pulling the e string off the bottom of the frets. In my opinion the pups are only fair at best. I replaced it with a Dean Hardtail for about $150 less and now have an axe that is FAR superior in every way. This crap has no quality control!!!

I was really excited about this guitar. When I received it I thought it sounded great. But it turned out the middle pickup didn't work. I sent it back for another. When I received that one there were nicks and chips up and down the fingerboard. I sent that one back too. I give up, I'm not getting another one. If Fender's quality control was worth anything this would be a nice guitar. For the features its a little pricey unless you REALLY love the Piezo Bridge (which sounds good). Other than that, its a pretty standard strat with a good - not great - neck. After all that, I went to the store and got Schecter's version of this guitar (the c-1 e/a) and I am much happier. That guitar actually has a switch that allows you to switch/ combine pickups with the piezo. That would've been greatly appreciated with this guitar instead of turning one knob down and the other up every time you want to switch.

I've had this guitar for 4 months now and I really enjoy playing it. The finish and feel are right up there with the higher-end USA made Strats, but it does lose a half mark for the turd brown pick guard and less than stellar humbucker. The first thing that I did when I picked it up was have the tech lower the action (I like super thin) and exchange the pick guard for a Pealite White guard, and honestly it had everyone in the store saying "man that looks so much better than that guard". Looks aside, this guitar is strictly business. The Tex-Mex humbucker isn't the greatest, but the two single coils are magnificent, and I intend to swap the hum Tex-Mex for something better. All in all, for the price, this guitar can't be beat.

I've been playing acoustics and classicals for 30+ years. I purchased this guitar for it's ability to sound like an acoustic. On it's own, plugged into a fender amp it sounds too wierd on just the piezo pup. I purchased an acoustic pedal, plug it into an amp with an acoustic digital effect and solved the thin cheesy sound. Everything is digital so the sound just isn't going to emulate my Martin. Don't get me wrong, I love the sound and feel of this guitar. It's faster than a black ski slope!!! It sounds way cool through my set up. The piezo mixed with the other pups gives a whole new dimension to the sound. I am extremly happy with this guitar.

I have to admit that I am a beginner on the electric. Playing acoustic for 12 years and wanting to get to some new sounds and techniques, I find this instrument versatile and clean. The ability to play quality clean acoustic tones and yet have the electric side as well sold me on the guitar. I have heard it next to others and for the overall value of the guitar would not trade it for anything else out there.
