I have owned mine since 2000 or 2001 (somewhere in that time frame) I think I got it the first year it was offered. I had problems with the Fishman on the G string with a buzz that sounded like the action was too low. I brought it back & they tried to fix it and could not so they offered me a whole new guitar & I took it. It still has the same problem but it is not nearly as bad, it helped it when I went to heavier strings, which I use anyway so it wasn't a problem for me. Having said all that, I love this guitar & would buy it again, though I would probably get the one without the Fishman cause the sound of that is not really useful to me. I use this guitar alot for recording and have developed my own sound with it as a mainstay. The hardware on mine is good, perhaps the earlier models had better, or perhaps I am just not cosmetically aware as others may be. I do know I like the controls & the setup and I have had no problems with it. I did shield the cavity to quiet the pickups, which I can't figure out why Fender does not do this because the noise on the pickups is nat acceptable otherwise. If I lost this guitar for whatever reason, I would replace it with the same. Highly recommended Tele unless you are vintage twang, then you would want a different model.

I've had to return my power tele twice for repairs on the soundboard piece inside the guitar. When this guitar works as it should, I really do enjoy it. I'm sort of leary of it now, after having the problems twice. (The volume just starts to get more faint, and eventually there is no sound, other than hum from the amp.) The repairman has assured me that it is not anything that I have done that has caused the problem. He has stated that the soundboard pieces have been defective. Hopefully three is a charm in this case.

Comments about Fender Deluxe Series Nashville Power Telecaster Electric Guitar:

I picked up one of these in 1999 to setup for slide playing, The tuners and bridge on them weren't as nice as the new ones so it didn't bother me at all to replace them with Sperzel locking tuners and a Hipshot Trilogy bridge that allows quick easy on stage tuning of the open type that I use. The tone and sustain is amazing and it is one guitar that I don't plan on parting with due to its versatility, sound and looks.

BUY IT!!!

Comments about Fender Deluxe Series Nashville Power Telecaster Electric Guitar:

this telecaster beyond amazing, the temex pickups are perfect for that tele sound and the pickup in the middle for that stratty middy sound is great as well. the quality of this guitar is very giid fri the price you get the qualit of expensive guitars n this affordable one. Ive read that some people hvent quite yet experienced the power of the fishman piezo. An advice for this would be to run it directly to a DI Box or Mixer with some chorus/reverb or if you use a modelling processor like the pod you should bypass all of the modelling capabilities in order to get the max out of the piezo system if you dont you wont get the results expected.I gave it 4.5 on features because i think that it should b very convenient to have a switch which changes between ceramic and piezo operation because it ould save time when performing live instead of having to lower ceramic volume and raising piezo volume to get that piezo sound.Another coment would be that i recommend to change to noiseless or emg pickups in order to eliminate the hum that they produce because that can cause a headache if youre using a genuine tube amp.other than that it is an amazing well-rounded versatile and affordable guitar that you have to buy

Excellent Mexi Tele

Comments about Fender Deluxe Series Nashville Power Telecaster Electric Guitar:

Purchase a black w/tortoise version about a year ago and it's quickly become my main Tele. I'm a big Tele fan and have about 10 total, and this guitar easily matches the quality of many USA made Teles. The fit and finish is a little rough in some places, but not where it matters. Plus, the Fishman power bridge rocks, and in conjunction with a good acoustic simulator pedal really gives you some interesting sound/tone options.

All You Could Ever Want in a Guitar

By Jory (the cakes)

from Eagle River, Alaska

Comments about Fender Deluxe Series Nashville Power Telecaster Electric Guitar:

It's simply put as "Perfect". You want a tele because of the classic sound, quality, looks. But a strat is more versatile. Well my musician friend, this is both. And then on top of that, you get a acoustic piezo pickup, which is awesome (although you do need some sort of a acoustic processor or amp, unless you like the thin piezo sound) I think it's the best all-around single coil guitar a person can get.

Comments about Fender Deluxe Series Nashville Power Telecaster Electric Guitar:

I purchased a used Nashville Power Tele over three years ago and done some minor mods to it - Schaller Locking Tuners, White Pearl Pickguard & Five-Two Bridge Pickup. Guitar is very versatile. Don't use the power bridge much, but more lately. Adds nice body to sound. Locking tuners really help tuning. Overall quality is very good for MIM.

Comments about Fender Deluxe Series Nashville Power Telecaster Electric Guitar:

I've had the guitar for about a year now and I like it more and more all the time. The Sound, the Intonation, the Look, the Action--all so True. I use it with a Roland JC and a Boss GT-10. I just love all the tones I get out of it. It is so clean and Present. I don't get a bad metal sound out of the rig, too.

Comments about Fender Deluxe Series Nashville Power Telecaster Electric Guitar:

I just got this tele, and I love it. The Tex-Mex pickups sound great. The Fender/Fishman bridge is amazing! The fishman puts out a great acoustic sound. I would have paid a lot more for this guitar. Works great. Sounds wonderful clean or distorted. I highly recommend this guitar.

Versatility/Tone

By Nightsongs

from Mac, Oregon

Comments about Fender Deluxe Series Nashville Power Telecaster Electric Guitar:

A friend who was a Fender dealer found a new/old stock Nashville Power Deluxe in their storage. It was a 1999 that had never been used, still had the pickguard plastic, etc.I'm a Line 6 guy, but missed my old Tele's so I bought it.After having the pots, power chip, electronic stuff replaced (went bad after all that time alone), and the intonation/action set up, I really love it now. Not as great as my Variax 600, but for all the barre chords I play, it's a little more comfortable. Playing thru a Vetta 2, I can adjust the piezo sound nicely.

Comments about Fender Deluxe Series Nashville Power Telecaster Electric Guitar:

I bought this guitar about 8 months ago, since then I have not been able to put it down. It sounds great for almost all styles of guitar. The second I played one I knew I had to have it.The neck is one of my favorite parts it allows you to do chords with ease & at the same time allows you to pick fast. The sound it puts out is beautiful and cannot be matched. This is one versitile guitar.

Best Tele available

Comments about Fender Deluxe Series Nashville Power Telecaster Electric Guitar:

I've owned over 60 guitars in my lifetime and this one does it all. It gets a great acoustic sound if played through an acoustic amp or pedel or both. The bridge p/u is awesome and the middle gives a nice strat sound. I changed out the neck p/u for a Semour Duncan 59'er and now I have the best of all worlds: Acoustic, Tele, Strat and Les Paul all in 1 guitar. The neck is very easy to play ( I wish they had a Maple fretboard option ) and the 2-color brown sunburst is really nice. I went with a black 3-ply pickguard with the humbucking cotout at the neck and exchanged the white cover on the strat p/u with a black. It looks, plays and sounds amazing. If you need alot of guitars to get your sounds this is the 1 to get.

About Me Professional Musician

Pros

  • Fun To Play
  • Good Feel
  • Good Pick Up
  • Good Tone
  • Magnetic pickups good, Piezo needs a boost!

Cons

  • Piezo was weak, added an eq to boost it.

Best Uses

  • Blending acoustic and electric tones in stereo.
  • Jamming
  • Practicing
  • Recording
  • Rock Concerts
  • School Bands
  • Small Venues

Comments about Fender Deluxe Series Nashville Power Telecaster Electric Guitar:

I got mine used, I never knew that they made Teles with power bridge. I love everything about it, but the piezo needs a better preamp. I fixed this by adding a DOD fx40b graphic eq. I also use the TC electronics Body Rez. The pickups sound great, but the only flaw is the low output piezo.

Very versatile to play in a cover band

Cons

Comments about Fender Deluxe Series Nashville Power Telecaster Electric Guitar:

I play in two cover bands, mostly classic rock. I've always wanted to be able to switch quickly between electric and acoustic sound without having to change guitar and without having to deal with acoustic guitar feedback. This Power Tele guitar is THE answer to my need.

It's very versatile with 3 electric pickups plus the finish is very good, no buzz, all perfect. The pickups are quite silent - I am quite surprised about that as I expected pickups in MiM Fender's would be more noisy that USA made Fenders, it's not the case.

To get a good acoustic sound, the acoustic jack MUST be plugged into an acoustic amp or a PA - otherwise, it's not worth it, and if you don't plan to do so, don't buy this guitar, you will be disappointed by the acoustic sound you will get (I have a great Mesa tube amp, and those are not made for acoustic sound amplification and they don't have a tweeter so...).

I find the Fishman pickup does a great job on the 4 high strings (e, B, A, D) but the acoustic sound isn't as good on the low A and E strings, but it's still good enough to play live - nobody will notice in band situation. I will try to see if different kind of strings could help to improve that.

Overall, I strongly recommend this guitar if you play in a band and need the kind of flexibility that this guitar offer.

    Big Tone, Small Dinero

    By scotdman

    from Madison, TN

Comments about Fender Deluxe Series Nashville Power Telecaster Electric Guitar:

This is really a fine instrument with a ton of useful features. The relatively low cost is icing on the cake. Sure it's made in Mexico, sure it could use some better tuners, and no, the Fishman pickup does NOT give a full-bodied acoustic sound like I get with my Takamine (even with both through a Boss AD-5). HOWEVER, you can get great Fender electric tones out of this guitar with the three single coil pups and 5-position switch. Dial in some of the Fishman piezo and you can get really great chimey tones that no other Fender that I'm aware of can do. You can get usable acoustic tone from the NPT when it's used in a band situation through a nice acoustic pre and into a full range amp or direct to the PA. It just doesn't seem to deliver the roundness and warmth of a real acoustic. Additionally, the craftsmanship on mine seems impeccable - put Schallers on it and you'd think it was American-made. I have two American Strats and I rarely take them to gigs. I keep going back to the full, fat tone of the very versatile Nashville Power Tele through a Fender tube amp.

Comments about Fender Deluxe Series Nashville Power Telecaster Electric Guitar:

this is possibly the best telecaster out there...i absolutely love it, and the piezo pickup is cool...and the strat / tex mex sandwich gives it amazing versatility. its extremely comfortable and pretty light. the only thing on this guitar is there is a battery for the piezo, and personally, i hate replacing batteries, then again, i dont really use it a whole lot....i deffinantly suggest this tele over any other.

I got this guitar (burst color) as a graduation present about a year ago. I love it. It's got twang, it's got spank, it's an acoustic. It's pretty much three guitars in one! Quality wise, tuners could use an upgrade, and I wish it had 22 frets. But other than that Great guitar!
