Authentic semi-hollow Telecaster tone at its most affordable.

Light in weight, but not sound, the Deluxe Telecaster Thinline is crafted with timelessly elegant style and authentic Fender tone. Crisp and articulate, with a versatile voice that cuts through a busy mix, this stage-tested design is the ideal combination of modern features and traditional aesthetics. With a little bit of extra ‘magic’ up its sleeve, this instrument is as flexible as it is distinctly stylish.

Two noise-free, highly articulate Vintage Noiseless Tele pickups produce rich, detailed tone, with the balanced string response, definition and twang you’ve come to expect from a Tele. The semi-hollow construction imparts seductively warm overtones to the traditional Tele sound, creating a slightly throatier voice. Four-way switching adds an exciting dimension to the traditional Tele pickup combinations—position four combines the bridge and neck pickups in series for hotter output and punchier midrange.

Enjoy increased sustain and slightly thicker tone that complements the famous Tele twang, thanks to the modern six-saddle sting-through-body bridge with block saddles. A contoured neck heel and 4-bolt asymmetrical neck plate make it easy to comfortably reach the upper registers of the neck.

The flatter 12”-radius fingerboard makes it easy to play fast leads and perform deep bends without fretting out. Locking short-post tuning machines with vintage-style buttons provide increased break angle at the nut for buzz-free playing and enhanced tuning stability, along with quicker string changes. Classic aesthetic touches include nickel/chrome hardware and a four-ply aged white pearloid pickguard, along with knurled flat-top control knobs and a black switch tip.

For players who want classic Fender semi-hollowbody tone with a bit of edge, the Deluxe Telecaster Thinline is ready to step up with its modern features and authentic style. Includes gig bag.

Comments about Fender Deluxe Thinline Telecaster Rosewood Fingerboard:

I've been playing it for 6 mo now, and after some major and minor tweaks, I'm pretty happy with it.
1) You'll need to have the neck edges rolled, the more the better, they're way too sharp. A good guitar shop can do it for you for less than a fret topping, which this didn't need, thank you Lord.
2) The 4 way switch has some tone problems. The 4th position (full treble) is brittle and ugly sounding, and I never use it. The out of phase 2nd position is very nice except the highs and lows are rolled off way too much, I have to adjust the amp eq every time I use it. I'm going to install an old 3 way switch and see if it improves.
3) I wanted a sunburst top with maple neck, but of course it wasn't offered and could not be ordered from MF or anybody else that I contacted. I found a guitar shop that would order both and switch necks for me, another extra charge of course.
4) The noiseless pickups are ok but not as tonefull as stock single coils on an older tele of mine. But then not as noisy either, guess you have to sacrifice something.
5) Bottom line is you really have to want the lightness and be willing to spend a little extra money to get it to play nice.

Mexican Telecaster Thinline

Comments about Fender Deluxe Thinline Telecaster Rosewood Fingerboard:

Nice guitar. The slim neck plays well and it has an array of tones due to the 4 position toggle switch. I had to send the first one I ordered back because the nut stuck out on both ends and the frets were extremely rough. I bought another on that is better, but the frets are still a little rough. The guitar would benefit by a little more TLC before being shipped out. A little expensive for a Mexican import model.
