The Fender DG-60 acoustic guitar has 20 frets, 25.3" scale, nato neck, with sonokeling fingerboard, and the bridge is sonokeling with a compensated saddle. The finish is natural gloss polyurethane. The body starts with a Fender dreadnought style for full, balanced tonal range. It features a dual-action truss rod, black pickguard, scalloped X-bracing, dot position inlays, and a Gold silkscreened Fender logo.
The guitar plays with a bright and full tone, with clear, sustaining notes. The DG-60 acoustic guitar can do live gigs with ease. For a beginner it's not a bad price for the money. The way I see it, if I lose interest I'm not out of alot of money.If so, I'll sell it and get close to 3/4 what I paid for it.I've learn a few chords and I'm having fun with it.Who know's maybe someday I'll get a Martin and pass this Fender on to one of my grandkids.

Purchased this as a gift for a member of the family that learned on a short scale electric and was ready to graduate to a full size guitar.
Fit and finish are very good, a few minor flaws but nothing significant. Please note that I repair and build guitars and am a tough critic on this point.
Setup was excellent! Only a minor truss rod adjustment required (this should be expected on any guitar). Action was very low and consistent out of the box. No fret buzz. Nut slots well cut.
Very nice tone for this size guitar. Bass and treble string balanced and project well. Typical Dreadnought voicing.
I'd be happy to record with this guitar and wouldn't second guess purchase of another. This is the second Fender acoustic that I've purchased in the past few years (the other is a Resonator). All I can say is that these are very good value instruments that play well right out of the box. Well done Fender!

Bought this as a beginner guitar for my daughter. Great for the price and much better than I started with 35 years ago. Cheap guitars have improved. It doesn't come with a case but the stand that came free as a promotion is good for storing it in our house. The intonation and action are quite good out of the box, but I hate the sound and feel of the installed strings (nothing that 15 minutes and a new set won't fix). The guitar has pretty good projection for both highs and lows and is very playable. I can't say much about staying in tune yet. The wood is quite attractive and I tend to like gloss finish. I'm not crazy about the size and location of the top strap nut (too prominent - detracts from the appearance)but it is functional and not in the way while playing.

After learning to play guitar for just about a week, my girlfriend finally bought this guitar as a birthday present for me. It was simply the best acoustic guitar and worth the money to buy. The only thing that i do not really like about this guitar was the tuning. Once i got this guitar, i had to go to the nearest guitar store to set it up so that it would give a better sound. It's not a big deal tho. Just spent 30 bucks to change the string and set it up. Now, it's already three weeks of my learning playing guitar. I can say that i already addicted to play it. The guitar sounds so good that you would never believe it costs this low. I would definitely recommend this to all.

I've had this guitar for 13 years. It is not retired. It sounds great feels great and takes a beating. Even after my niece nocked it over and split the neck from the Nut to the A string pin (used ACFT adhesive to repair) it still played great, but after years of abuse to include Iraq and Afghanistan weather its still a great guitar. I would recommend this to any one who is looking for an all around guitar. Cheap price but a great product. Always loved the slim neck on it.

Purchased this Fender on a Stupid Deal of the Day!...[$]!!! I needed to find an acoustic(cheap) that I wouldn't care about. Unfortunately, this little gem delivers and sounds fantastic! I recommend this inexpensive instrument to anyone. The body is a little smaller than a dreadnought and feels great. I've been playing over 40 years and this axe is AWESOME! You can't beat the price. Go buy one...today!
