This guitar looks really good, but that's about it. It has really poor action, and a dampend sound. It buzzs on almost all the strings. I have played it time and time again hoping that age will bring some sweeter sound to it, but it fails to deliver.
I've played a variety of brands of guitars and this one is my favorite. This Fender has absolutely beautiful tone. This guitar is not at all hollow or ringy sounding. The DGA-1 is easy and comfortable to play. I immediately loved it but I also had my band instructor check it out for me because I expect it to be a life long guitar for me. She liked it as well as I did and asked where I got it from. I am thrilled 'pink' with it as well as my older brother who has picked a few tunes with it even though it is pink!
My girlfriend bought this guitar a few weeks ago and I
I bought this guitar at a local shop and was impressed. At first every string twanged on every fret but if you adjust the neck it sounds amazing. The guitar has a solid tone and decent action once you adjust the neck and put some solid elexir strings on. Great guitar for the money.
This guitar is a great value in my opinion. I am a huge fan of the cutaway style guitar, and this guitar has a certain tone about it that I haven't heard on many other guitars I have played through the years. I would, however, recommend this mostly for beginners as it was obviously made for them, considering it is a value pack. My students love to play this guitar. As to the negative reviews talking about the buzzing, I haven't had any trouble with it, with complex chords/strumming or picking. The only thing I would change about this guitar is to have it produced as an acoustic-electric, but alas, it is an average acoustic cutaway, besides the tone quality. I definitely recommend it to beginners.
I've always been an electric guitar guy, now that I?m getting older and slowing down I wanted to pick a small less expensive acoustic. I've always been a Fender guy so I just bought it thinking that I could just sit and play when I wanted to. The best thing to this guitar was the free picks that came with it. The strings buzzed on almost every fret, the sound was like a tin can, forget any type of finger action. AS always this web site took the return. Thank Goodness!
