Comments about Fender FSR Classic Series '72 Telecaster:

I've been waiting to get my hands on a 72 tele for quite some time. I love that fat neck (I have monster hands) and I love the look. When I saw the FSR Aqua Flake, I couldn't wait any longer. I intended on swapping the pickups almost immediately, but after getting it and playing it, I don't think the pickups are as bad as some people have complained. They aren't amazing, but they're livable. I may just do the standard 500k volume pot switch and see how that sounds. On the aqua flake, it's hard to tell in pictures, but that pickguard has the ever-so-slightest hint of mint color to it, which compliments the guitar really well. I was going to swap it out, but once I saw it in person it looks absolutely awesome next to that blue/green finish. Pretty much any review of the 72 tele deluxe could apply to this one, so read those reviews if you want more in depth feedback. But as far as the finish goes, it's amazing in person. Haven't even played this out yet but anyone who's been over to my house and seen it in person has fallen in love with the color. Get it!

Comments about Fender FSR Classic Series '72 Telecaster:

I have owned this guitar for about a week now and I will tell you it was love at first sight! I own an American Deluxe Tele also, and can Tell you the quality is just as nice. This is the first MIM guitar I have owned and can honestly say that it won't be the last! The sound out of this guitar has a lot more growl than you would expect of a Telecaster, sounds more like my Gibson SG.
I have read that people complain about the 250K pot Fender puts in all their 72' Tele Deluxe models, but I think this guitar sounds great!!!

One more thing..... Fender has only made 300 of this model in each color, so it may be a collectors item one day!
