At the sale price this guitar is an absolute steal! It sounds great, and is very very very confortable to play. The neck is slim and fast, and the guitar projects wonderfully. The sound is quite balanced. The quality of build on this guitar is nice as well. Solid wood top and sides... Feels on par with many other more expensive guitars. If you can get past the fender name on an acoustic, this guitar will satisfy your need for a concert style guitar. I was pleasantly surprised with the quality of this instrument. My two biggest complaints are the tuner knobs are just OK.. not garbage, but I'll probably switch them for grovers. And the bridgepins are flimsy plastic. The saddle and nut are fine. But you might want to upgrade the tuning pegs and bridgepins. The case is a pretty decent as well. Looks nice and the guitar fits in perfectly with no play at all! Buy this guitar before it's discontinued. I really don't understand Fender's strategy on acoustic guitars, but in thier swirl of wierd acoustic and hybrid telecoustic statomandolin 18 string sitarjazzmasterbongo releases they produced a quality guitar in this model. Buy and enjoy.

The guitar I got was an extraordinarily nasty example. The binding was done very crudely and unevenly, the top had four dark spots in the wood that under magnification appear to be mold stains, the fretwork is crude, the case is not a Fender molded one as stated, but a Chinese hardshell of low finish quality. This is a very poor instrument in every way. It was also a previously sold & returned item that arrived dirty and incomplete.

This is a good deal for the price. The action and set-up on mine was perfect and the smaller size is a nice change from my other acoustics.

Excellent Guitar!

Very well made guitar. The Fishman 4T pickups sound great on my Fender 212R and the case that came with it, is a very nice fit. I'd definitely recommend this guitar to anyone looking for a quality all solid wood acoustic/electric that's very comfortable, easy to play and lightweight.

Guitar best buy so far this year.

By Anonymous

from Undisclosed

I bought this guitar because it had a solid cedar top and solid wood construction, but I was in for a pleasant surprise when it arrived. This sucker has an ebony fingerboard and bridge, not rosewood, it also has maple body binding. Once again the product description is less then accurate but I was so happy to see ebony! The sound is full and rich, cedar sounds big and huge with lots of dynamic range, like a classical but with steel strings. Fingerstyle is awesome, and this one is comfortable to play as well. By the way, the case fits this guitar like a glove, its easy to carry with a padded handle and velvet burgandy interrior, it has a lock and key, definately the best buy so far this year.

Exceeded Expectations

By Strumming Fool

from Mountain Home AR

I've had it for a week now, and I'm thrilled with it! I own Taylor and Larrivee guitars, and this little guitar definitely holds its own in comparison. Quality, fit and finish are excellent, and the materials and features would normally be found on much higher priced instruments. The sunburst on the cedar top provides an absolutely gorgeous vintage look. I bought this guitar to be my "beater" in less than friendly environments, and it's almost to good for that purpose. You won't regret this purchase.

For This Price, This Guitar Can't Be Beat

By Peace Corpse Rules!

from Texas

I bought this guitar sight unseen. It wasn't available locally. When I opened the case (included) I couldn't believe how beautiful it was. When I plugged it in, I couldn't believe how nice it sounded. The guitar is small, which is good for me because I am used to playing my Fender Mustang. I highly recommend this guitar! My guitar teacher checked it out and couldn't believe a solid wood guitar with a case was less then $400. The electronics are great and include a tuner. I can't wait to gig with my new Fender!

Fabulous Value!

I felt that I had gambled when I ordered this guitar, never having seen it locally. When it arrived, I was stunned by it's beauty, quality of workmanship, and details. The case was outstanding and perfectly fitted. With the requisite setting up (Tusq all around) at my local guitar shop, it sounds for all the world like a guitar that would cost three times the $ I paid. Slightly heavier than some custom acoustics, it is solid and sweet for me. Better than advertised on the website, my guitar has lovely maple binding in a soft yellow/tan rather than the white that is listed.Obviously, Fender is moving to improve their reputation in the acoustic arena, and has begun well with this beauty.
