This guitar is fantastic. I was searching for a strat or tele at Guitar Center and I played this one. I loved the overall feel of it. The sound was GREAT too. I also played the American Strat. I did like the strat a bit better but man, this tele is NOT close behind at all. The tele was quite cheaper, which led me to want it. I can not get over this guitar, the sunburst is GORGEOUS! Doesn't get too much better than this.
This guitar is great. The finish on the sunburst model is awesome and it does not wear down easily. The sound is great. I have compared this to a deluxe American Telecaster and the sounds and tones are almost identical. This is a great guitar for its pricepoint and I love it very much.
this is the exact same guitar as the telecaster american that is more expensive. there are two differences 1) this one doesn't have a glossy finish like the other, and 2) this one is less money. i played both of them they sound the same and i like it better without the gloss anyway, it looks like it's been used :)
Sweet sounding, mix it with some reverb and it has that nice jazz/funk punch!
Extremely versatile, wonderful feel!
Clean vintage look and feel!
I've been playing for 40+ years. I've owned them all. Lately been into acoustic. Decided to get back into the electric. Spent a lot of time at the music store. This is a great guitar. Looks good, feels good and sounds good. I played three of them and they were all good guitars. The setup from the factory is not perfect, but for those unsure the owners manual comes in very handy. For the money, it would be very hard to beat this guitar in my opinion. I own the sunburst one... Looks great. If I were to change anything, I might look into a hotter pickup for the neck position. Buy it you will Love it...Can't put it down!!
This is an awesome guitar for almost half the price of the other U.S.-made telecasters from Fender's shop in Corona, CA. The alder body and satin finish make it feel a lot lighter in weight than other teles, otherwise, it's got that same classic twangy tele sound and tone from two vintage single-coil pickups. I love the slim, satin neck that makes this guitar so easy to play up the scale. The fit and finish on my red Highway 1 tele are flawless. One more thing, this axe never goes out of tune, no matter how much string bending I do!
The vintage look, the satin finish, the sound and the price makes this guitar a dream come true. The best american telecaster you can get for that kind of money. The only thing you must remember is that the satin finish requires greater care that normal finish (i.e. slight scratches, fingerprints, dirt spots), but it is worth it!
I have owned several USA Telecasters from the 70's, 80's, and 90's, and the "Highway 1" is the best sounding one yet! Just play one unplugged and you will see how the sound jump's out of it! Plug it in and it has a lot of sustain and ring to it. The only thing I wish it had is the straplock buttons like on the American standard. But that's no big deal, For the money you cant beat it!
This guitar is simply amazing. I bought mine a couple of months ago and I have loved te ever since. This guitar will not let you down. It is American quality at a very affordable price. The finish isn't the greatest, but the sound is excellent, and that's what is the most important.
Wide range of tones from a lovely warm to sparkly bright!
It has a great clean tone and it also has a great sound with distortion!
Great tone and value! Excellent guitar for the $!
I purchased this guitar about 6 months ago, and I am finally ready to say...it is awesome. The tone is phenomenal, in fact the delta pups sound comparable to the american standard. One very nice thing is the guitar is very light compared to other fenders, but be careful with it for that reason...(not a very heavy finish) the only complaint I have is I don't like the vintage brige system, and will be upgrading the saddles on mine soon because the stock saddles act like a cheese-grater on your hand if you palm mute at all.
Extremely good value. Better pickups are desirable, but the stanrdard ones are decent.
This is a great guitar! Light weight, with a smooth feel and easy-to-play slim neck with big frets. I can rip through chords quickly and effortlessly on this guitar, and no matter how much string bending I do, it just doesn't go outta tune! Quality craftmanship too, even if it is a little pricey, it is American-made. I'd recommend it to any one who is looking for that classic twangy, clear Fender sound. Also has a nice edgy growl in overdrive, but I would not recommend this ax for heavy metal.
Whether practicing at home or playing with the band, I can play my Tele all day and amaze myself with the sounds I can get!
i played this guitar right out of box, it sounded great! i am an old guy getting back to my music and playing in a band. this guitar stays in tune and has all i need sound-wise. i would buy it again, real sweet deal for a made in USA Tele.
I wanted to replace my 52 re-issue that I sold last summer and didn't have enough cash for another 52. My local expert, Mike, suggested the Highway 1 Series Tele. The results are excellent! Plays very nice, sounds great... finish is better than expected... I just don't like the strings that come with it!
