An intense signature Fender Strat designed for metal.

The Fender Jim Root Stratocaster electric guitar is as unique as Slipknot's guitar maestro himself. Featuring a white mahogany body and a 25.5" scale maple neck with a thin "C" shape and an oversized headstock fitted with Fender Deluxe cast/sealed locking tuning machines. A maple fretboard sports 22 jumbo frets with a 12" to 16" compound radius that promotes super fast shredding.

The Jim Root guitar has an EMG-60 active humbucker (neck) and EMG-81 active humbucker (bridge) that let your solos roar through the crowd. The Fender Stratocaster's 6-saddle strings-through-body hardtail bridge adds even more sustain. Includes a hardshell case.

i really hate slipknot and stone sour, but this guitar is freaking amazing. the shape of the neck and the action of the strings are flawless. the emg pickups are out of this world. this guitar can sound like Whatever style of music you want to play.. so i would say it is totally worth the money… plus its made in the usa thats the only reason why i didn't get the tele version… rad guitar..

Comments about Fender Jim Root Stratocaster Electric Guitar:

First let me say I am NOT a Slipknot or Stone Sour fan. That said this is an absolutely incredible guitar. It has everything I would want from a Strat for Rock or Metal music. The neck is just perfect. Great tone, feel, stays in tune. Wow. I bought it used with the intention of making money on it, but I am NOT parting with this one. Buy it, even at the discounted price it is an incredible guitar for the money.

Comments about Fender Jim Root Stratocaster Electric Guitar:

this guitar, to me, is amazing. a mahogany body, string through, locking tuners, and a compound radius neck, with the fender 25.5 scale length, which facilitates downtuning better than, say, a 24.75 gibson scale. this guitar will do almost any musical style, but excels at hard rock/hardcore/hard rock thanks to its active emg humbuckers.i may modify, and drop a set of emg 81tw humbuckers in it, so i can cop single coil tones as well.personally, that is the only "con" for me, BUT lets remember that its an option, not a neccesity, and for an obvious reason, not included inthe design. bottom line, designed primarily for harder styles, but can be adjusted (different pickups) to getyou in almost any ballpark. i am a jim root fan, but didnt purchase the guitar for this reason. every now and again, a signature product comes along, ad is exactly what some players would like, or already do. this is me. i will buy the telecaster next to go with my orange halfstack.

              Not your daddy's strat

Comments about Fender Jim Root Stratocaster Electric Guitar:

Every time I looked through a MF catalog and saw the name Jim Root tied to a Fender, I thought this was a "roots" type strat, Finally upon a 2nd glance, I was awoken to my dream guitar. This guitar has everything I have been looking for, and I can't think of a similarly equipped guitar for the $. Hard tail is a must for me. Can now tune down without issue. EMG's are great, neck pickup is really smoky and the bridge screams. Mahogany body and nitro finish are just plain great ideas. Ash & alder may work for traditional strat tones, but this guitar and a 3 pickup strat share brand name in common only. Toneful! I am a lover of maple necks as they are easier to see on the dark stages. Great feel. It's a rocker, and feels like it ill last a lifetime. No complaints!

              Not bad at all...

Comments about Fender Jim Root Stratocaster Electric Guitar:

I've been looking for a two-humbucker guitar for a little while and I picked this one up at a local guitar shop... All i can say is WOW. The pickup and wood combination give it a throaty, monstrous tone you don't expect from a fender. For hard rock, it's perfection. Some people won't like the maple fretboard, but hey, I do. Locking tuners, a roller string tree and straplocks are something you don't see stock on a lot of guitars, but for lack of tonal options and any tremolo i gave it a 4 in features.
