OVERVIEW

Incorporates evolutionary advances while retaining the look and feel that has made the Stratocaster legendary.

The left-handed Fender American Deluxe Stratocaster has all the modern features today's guitarists demand in an electric guitar. The compound-radius fretboard encourages exhilaratingly effortless string bending anywhere along the neck. New Fender N3 noiseless pickups supercharge your sound with improved Stratocaster tones for sparkling bell-like chime with no hum. The American Deluxe Stratocaster has reconfigured S-1 switching that offers even more knockout tonal options. Other features include staggered locking tuners, a 2-point synchronized American Deluxe tremolo bridge with pop-in arm, and a beveled neck heel. Fender includes a molded Fender-exclusive SKB case with glass-reinforced latches and TSA locks, cable, and strap locks with the left-handed American Deluxe Stratocaster.

Fender N3 Noiseless pickups
N3 Noiseless pickups deliver the best of yesterday and today, because they deliver landmark vintage Fender tone and response without the hum that can plague single-coil pickups. Using an improved stacked coil-coil design, N3 Noiseless pickups are specially tailored for each Stratocaster pickup position. The insulated metal core of each pickup position type differs in thickness and composition for enhanced tone, and Fender has fine-tuned the sized, shape, and wire gauge of the coils to balance the magnetic responsiveness essential to great tone. N3 pickups represent a welcome return to the warmth and clarity of alnico magnets. An Alnico 5 magnet is used in the bridge position, Alnico 2 in the middle position, and Alnico 3 for the neck position.

Comments about Fender Left-Handed American Deluxe Stratocaster Electric Guitar:

Started playing over 2 years ago. Bought this right away because I wanted to learn on the guitar I was wanting to eventually own and play on. Has worked out great! A bit pricey but holds it tune for weeks.

It's a good thing

Comments about Fender Left-Handed American Deluxe Stratocaster Electric Guitar:

After wearing out my 64 It's like coming home to a new strat that has that one extra fret you always wished your strat had. Love the feel, the look, the features. As a lefty it was nice that they reversed the vol knob wiring so you can do pinky volume swells like a righty. (small detail, but important) Love the included case. Learning curve on the electronics is the only thing to dislike & I will get over that. I don't miss that single coil buzz one bit and the sound doesn't seem to suffer for it. Would be nice if it sold for about what the American Standard does, but, it's still worth it. It's all good. I have a Les Paul, a Nice Carvin Custom, an Ovation, my 64 STRAT and this Deluxe Strat is now my new favorite.
The only reason I didn't go with a 10 is that I haven't had time for the different pick-up combinations to become second nature. My 64 strat with the 3 position switch that you balanced between settings to create what became the 5 pos. switch sound has about 1/3 of the combinations as the Deluxe with the s1 switch. The tone controls effecting different pickups depending on the switch settings takes some getting used to. As a lefty it was nice that they reversed the vol knob wiring so you can do pinky volume swells like a righty. (small detail, but important) Love the feel of the neck.
Looks good, feels good, has a well built feel about it.
It's hard to give it a ten when my 64 (in 1964) cost 10% of the new Deluxe, but, times change. My 72 Toyota was 10% of what a 2011 costs. Still love it even at the price.
