My Personal Favorite

By Zero-MDtdo

Comments about Fender Left-Handed Standard Stratocaster Electric Guitar:

I've owned this guitar for over five months(Lake Placid Blue/Rosewood Combination). Being left handed makes finding great, cheap guitars a challenge. But this Strat is by far one of the best guitars tone wise. It's clean tone is phenomenal, and yes, it sounds great with distortion. It is my favorite of my guitars and never stops pleasing me. Fender is my favorite brand and I really wish they made Mustangs left handed. Sigh.

Better after the upgrades

Comments about Fender Left-Handed Standard Stratocaster Electric Guitar:

Since Fender made a few more changes, this guitar really is a good buy. Mine didn't have any problems except the strings. It feels better than my old 2006 Strat did. The price has gone up, but it really seems like they've gotten a bit better with the QC. The only fault I can find is the pickups. They do great clean, but they get compressed with overdrive. It's not bad, but the pickups just don't sound like they're breathing and open. However, it's worth it to up the pickups. It doesn't have some of the features the MIA's do (rolled edges, glossed fretboard, alnico pickups, etc) but I'm more concerned with tone. With a pickup upgrade, this could very well rival the MIA in sound quality. For an experienced player like me, it's a great addition to the lineup and for a beginner, it's a good investment.

Best guitar out there

Comments about Fender Left-Handed Standard Stratocaster Electric Guitar:

With the pots, 3 pups, trem and neck choices, the sound you want is there with a Strat. Only change I recommend is a KGC brass trem block for more clarity and sustain. Other then that, love them as I bought them.
There can be only one! Let's face it - the Strat has to be the most copied axe in history. Every manufacturer has some "Super Strat" or a clone Strat. This is the perfect guitar. Wide range of tone, lots of features, quality build, timeless beauty. Whether it's a MIM or American model, it's a great guitar. I own 3 Strats, and only changed the pups out on one of them.
Whether it's my '93, '95 or my 2003 the quality is rock solid. Fender is the name you can trust.
Being on a tight budget, I need guitars I can trust at great prices. I found them with the Strat. being left-handed, there aren't many choices, so make the right one.

Top Quality Fender Stratocaster

By Andrew Preer

from Austin, TX.

Comments about Fender Left-Handed Standard Stratocaster Electric Guitar:

Tunners on guitar are GREAT!!! Guitar RARELY gets out of tune!!! The Maple neck has a NICE dark tint, is quite smooth, and easy to play. Fender has done a GREAT job with this MIM series of Stratocasters!!! I prefer these over the American Strats.
The new MIM Fender Stratocasters are AWESOME!!! They seem to be a bit heavier that the Strats that were made back in 2006. That's not a problem for me though. Tonal quality is VERY good and makes me not want to put it down!!! I purchased the Left-handed Olympic White with Maple neck. The guitar was beautiful in EVERY way. The only issue I had with my guitar was the fact that it came with a Right-handed Tremolo bar. Other than that, NO issues. I've since obtained a Left-handed Tremolo bar. The pick-ups that came with my guitar sounded great!!! However, I like my guitar with a little spice. I've since installed a set of Fender Tex-Mex pick-ups to give me some "twang" and "thump." I also put some .11 gauge strings on it for better tone. Whether you're a beginner or an experienced "pro," I HIGHLY recommend purchasing this guitar!!!

A Great Guitar!

Comments about Fender Left-Handed Standard Stratocaster Electric Guitar:

This is my first electric guitar (I was originally a bass man). I can't say enough good things about the standard Strat. It's a beautiful guitar. Mine is blue with a maple neck. Good Points: The nut was set up perfectly right out of the box. I adjusted the action to my preference and now playing this guitar seems effortless. The maple neck is incredibly fast! And this baby stays in tune like you would not believe. What else is there to like? Well, when you strum a chord the whole guitar resonates in your hand. I have it strung with D'Addario light weight strings---my personal favorite. Like I already said, it looks fantastic, and I love the sound through a Peavey trans-tube amp. Thanks Fender, for thinking of us lefties and making a great axe!

Fender Left-Handed Standard Stratocaster

By Dylan L

from Montreal QC

Comments about Fender Left-Handed Standard Stratocaster Electric Guitar:

I had this guitar for about 5 months, and I love it. Why? Because the neck is so comfortable, I could never put it down. The strings are easy to bend, which is awesome for soloing, the single coil pickups sound clean and bluesy, and this is what you expect from a Fender. It looks great, with it's maple neck and arctic white body and looks like an american standard. Also, it has great tuners for the money, and gets out of tune very rarely. There are no cons so far. I love it!

Ask me a question

Comments about Fender Left-Handed Standard Stratocaster Electric Guitar:

Got a black with white guard and maple neck then strung it right cuz I've wanted to do that since I saw a photo of Joe Perry playing a lefty flipped. Only mod needed was of course the nut but then the volume is right in your strumming path and I kept unwillingly turning it down by bumping it. I cut the vol. knob and pot shaft down to recess it and that took care of that problem. Stock pickups are pretty hot to me, heard others on here moanin' about them but I like 'em. Depends on your amp and more, thru my Mesa Roadster this sounds great and even better thru my Fender HotRod DeVille 2X12 on clean channel. You can find these anywhere and modding parts are all over too. For around $300 you just cannot beat these guitars and flipped like mine it's a real head~turner on stage and in photos. It's G,B & E strings got a different tone to them having the bridge pickup tilted the opposite way than normal but in a great way(like Jimi) I've owned dozens of these MIM's and WILL own more ! JUST GO GET ONE AND FLIP IT !!!!

An amazing guitar for the price range!

By Bobby-0h2Hj

from Phoenix, AZ

Comments about Fender Left-Handed Standard Stratocaster Electric Guitar:

I got was sceptical about buying this guitar because of my past experiences with the mexican models, but I decided to try out the newer ones, and boy was it a great choice! I got the arctic white with maple neck and it's great. Has a nice powerful sound, with a great range from a nice country rock sound but is also capable of some blistering hard rock solos. THe only problems with it (which really arene't that bad) are the sustain could be a bit better, and tremelo bring it out of tune a little (barely enough to notice). But For the price range you can't get a better guitar, great buy!

PERFECT for blues and rock, but im a metal head. it has awesome cleans and amazing on a light distortion. i dropped a seymour duncan hot rail in the bridge and it rokks now. great guitar to have up with u on stage. a few guys above said that the tremolo is good, but put mine a little out of tune. not enough for the average person to notice, but it erks me. grover tuners and prob. solved. once again GREAT GUITAR

Not bad choice

By Graham

Comments about Fender Left-Handed Standard Stratocaster Electric Guitar:

This was my first guitar when I was 12, owned it until I was 17. Its not a bad choice, but I found its lack luster single coils to be quite lacking in a tonal manner. Unless you are into indie or light rock, I'd highly recommend switching the pickups.

Incredible Guitar

Comments about Fender Left-Handed Standard Stratocaster Electric Guitar:

I got this guitar just a few days ago(used of course)But its the same model. I searched up the Serial number and mine is a 2007 model. I have the arctic white with the maple neck, and it is incredible. I normally play Sg's, but I thinkin about including strats with them. The guitar stays in tune very well, except when I use a tremolo, it seemed to go out of tune just a hair. Since mine was used it didn't come with a tremolo, and now I have to order a lefty trem. I love the sound of the guitar, the neck feels awesome too. The frets are just the right size so you won't hurt your fingers going across the neck. This is my third guitar I own, one squier and an epiphone sg. The Sg is my favorite, but I'm startin to reconsider.

Comments about Fender Left-Handed Standard Stratocaster Electric Guitar:

i recived my fender lefty broen sunburst used yesterday and all i have to say is beautiful. the neck plays like hot butter and the tremelo works great as well. i thought about buying a gison or jackson but i went with the classic fender. this is my second fender i have a 2003 tele and this strat plays better than the tele. the pick ups sound real nice and crisp on the clean chanel but not so well on the distortion. other than that beautiful.i hope this review helps on your choice to buy one peace to all and play your hearts out
