OVERVIEW

A Telecaster with an immediately notable twist.

This eye-catching design of the Limited Edition American Standard Double-Cut Telecaster looks classic and comfortable, but with that remarkable double-cutaway ash body, it' distinctive and offbeat at the same time.

Pure and rich Telecaster tone comes from a Custom Shop Twisted single-coil neck pickup and a vintage-style Custom Shop single-coil Telecaster pickup. The Butterscotch Blonde finish and black pickguard hearken back to the Telecaster' original early-™50s era. Includes hardshell case.

Comments about Fender Limited Edition American Standard Double-Cut Telecaster Electric Guitar:

Came in the mail flawlessly. Everything is perfect...very light!!! Quite a bit lighter than my MIM Strat. Body seems to be one piece of ash, with a nice grain. The setup was already done, and it was pretty much in tune right out of the box. It was still in tune when I put it away after an hour of playing. The pickups sound great, and take pedals well. Neck pickup is brighter than normal, and very chi my...not muddy at all, even with the tone rolled all the way off. I have a slight buzz on the lower strings if I strum hard, so I will likely raise the action a bit tomorrow after it rests.

Comments about Fender Limited Edition American Standard Double-Cut Telecaster Electric Guitar:

I have been a worship leader for many years, so that is what I use this mainly for. We run a pretty solid crew and do all of the Elevation, Hillsong, Phil Wickham, etc. songs.

I was so pumped when I pulled it out of the box and looked at the SET UP. My last guitar I bought (fender american standard strat) needed a full set up when it first arrived, but this one was absolutely nails on neck angle, neck bend, string height, pickup height, and intonation. It was literally ready to be played. Heavier strummers would have needed to do a little adjusting, but it was perfect for my style of play.

As far as lumber, electronics, hardware, and finish...the quality is definitely a notch above the fender standard guitars. I LOVE seeing the grain come through on the transparent finish.

Bottom line...I was not disappointed with this purchase.

Comments about Fender Limited Edition American Standard Double-Cut Telecaster Electric Guitar:

I saw this guitar on Fender's site months ago and fell in love immediately. I managed to get a great deal on it through MF and it arrived pretty quickly. The guitar is gorgeous in person. I've always like the 52 tele but it feels a little too common for me. This gives me a similar vibe but that double cutaway is just perfectly different enough for my tastes.

This is my first American Fender solid body (I have way too many thinlines) and I absolutely love it. It came in a nice ABS molded case. The neck feels great; I love the satin finish on the back of the neck and the shape is awesome. Decently fast, still feels like a tele.

If there was one downside it's just your common stuff: this guitar ships setup for whatever climate it might go to with the worst feeling 9s I've ever played. This guitar craves 10s, at least, and I actually sent this to my guy to setup with D'Addario 11s. Stringing it up with medium gauge strings and a proper setup makes a world of difference. Having 9s on this guitar is an abomination.

There are plenty of awesome details too -- the neck plate is super-cool looking, tuners and other hardware feel great... it's a gorgeous instrument.
