Comments about Fender Sonoran Acoustic-Electric Thinline Guitar:
I bought this guitar for a lady friend who complained that a standard acoustic was too thick to be comfortable. It was a pleasant surprise and filled the bill perfectly. I put on a set of the lightest strings I could find and now I she's really gotten serious about learning to play!
Pros
- Great neck
- Great Sound For Thin Body
- very easy to play
Cons
- Ugly White Tuning Knobs
Best Uses
- anything you want
- Nice Couch Guitar
Comments about Fender Sonoran Acoustic-Electric Thinline Guitar:
I've had my Sonoran thinline for a few months now and it's becoming my favorite guitar. Don't let the price fool you, this is IMO a fantastic guitar. I tried a Fender Stratacoustic and although it sounds nice plugged in, unplugged the sound is very weak. The Sonoran however being an all wood, full size bodied (except thickness of course)it has a very nice sound. I can play this guitar with others that are playing full size bodies and still be heard with no problem. It's a great lay around the house guitar, very comfortable. The spruce top is nice and thick, very solid which works well for amplified aplications. The pickguard is nice and thick as well. The neck is wonderful and is as easy to play as a Strat. My favorite thing to do with it is get up in the morning, make coffe, crawl back into bed while watching TV and grab this guitar and noodle around on it. It's thin body makes it a dream to play. The onboard tuner works great as does the Fishman electronics. You can get loud and crisp sound or smooth and mellow. LOVE this guitar.
Pros
- Bolt On neck
- C-shaped Strat Neck
- Nice Fishman Pick up
- Solid Top
Cons
- Laminate back and sides
- Very Directional sound
Best Uses
- Plugged in playing
- Song writing
Comments about Fender Sonoran Acoustic-Electric Thinline Guitar:
If you are looking for a guitar to play and plug in, this a great one. The neck feels like a standard Stratocaster, because it is the same neck. Unplugged, this guitar projects its sound very directionally, but when you plug it in, that usually isnt a concern. As a primarily electric player, I love this guitars feel... Full bodied Dreadnoughts are usually too thick for me...
