Electric Fender vibe in an affordable, quality acoustic.
The Fender Sonoran S acoustic guitar represents a reintroduction of the California Series acoustics. These guitars were originally made from 1969 to 1971 and have gained attention in recent years for their very electric-like V-neck playability and cool vibe thanks to a Strat-style headstock. The Sonoran S has those features plus an updated dreadnought-shape body with solid spruce top, mahogany back and sides, mahogany neck, and rosewood fingerboard. It also has a checkerboard soundhole rosette, the original rosewood bridge design, and chrome die-cast tuners.

Bought it for a friend who is a beginner. The fit, finish and setup is OUTSTANDING!! The small electric style neck and low string height makes it play like an electric! The sound is also incredible for the price! In my opinion this is guitar is one of the best for the price!
I had been looking for a while for an affordable solid top acoustic and pretty much narrowed it down to the fender CD or DG series, but simply fell in love with the looks of the Sonoran dreadnought body with the the Strat neck/headstock. It was set up perfectly right out of the box and it plays like a dream and sounds absolutely amazing.
I just bought one of these to add to my arsenal of player guitars. I am absolutely thrilled with it. For the price range, you can't beat it. The pickup alone has a wide enough range of sweep to make it worth choosing over other similar grade guitars. The electric styled V-neck makes it as easy to play as a Stratocaster. This is a sound choice instrument.
I play in a local band, mostly classic rock with some country. I bought this guitar about 4 months ago cause I really liked the tone(and still do) when not plugged in. Very playable after smaller strings and a neck adjustment, however the neck is a bit thin for big fingers. The only real issue I have with this guitar is setting the sound quality when plugged in.. the pickups are a bit buzzywhen the volume is turned up and I find it hard to set a good sound on the EQ at high volumes through a PA system. Currently I have a lot of bass and the other 2 are set very flat to get the tone I'm after. Great beginner guitar, but if your into live performances that require a "louder-than-usual" CLEAN acoustic sound you might want to research other guitars with slightly better a pick-up.
I was looking for a decent guitar that wouldn't break the bank. This is it!!! It plays great, nice tone and the finish is gorgeous. There may be others that are comparable sound-wise, but not with the unique headstock this one has. Highly recomended
