A lot of guitars have come and gone from my quivver, and probably too many remain. But the Fender Sonoran, which has nearly the sonic clarity of my Ovation Adamas, will be a life-long "keeper". It's that good. While the Sonoran is nicely resonant, each string, whether held at the first fret or the fifteenth, can be clearly heard within chords and complex fingering patterns. This makes for a vibrant, rich, "million dollar sound" that is hard to find at any price. The maple neck adds a welcome touch of Adamas-like sparkle and takes a bit of pressure off the mahogany trees. It's hard to imagine a better guitar at this price point...or at twice the cost. Bravo, Fender!

I saw this guitar and just from the looks alone i was in love. After i played it, i knew it was the one i wanted because it has such a nice crisp sound to it. There is alot of string noise but if you don;t like that, you can get strings that reduce that. I would recomend this guitar to everyone. It sounds amazing pluged up, too.

It was great when I bought it and before I had played other, better guitars. Great for the value, but still, not the best. I'd say keep looking.I'm getting a buz on the low E with every strum, regardless of the fret it's played on. Not to mention the strap peg falling out and causing a devastating fall. I personally am done with Fender. If you've had better luck, then sure...take your chances on Fender.Good luck.

I bought a Sonoran SCE in May 2007, when I was in desperate need for another acoustic guitar. I couldn't believe how stunningly gorgeous the Honduran mahogany back, sides, and neck looked, and how steely the Sonoran sounded after I tuned it and strummed a few chords! Unplugged or amplified, the Sonoran SCE is wonderful. With it's 3-band EQ, it sounds ideal when plugged into an amplifier. I have had a couple of gigs with my guitar and voice, and so far, my Sonoran sounds golden when played through my Carvin SX-200. That's all I have to say.

I waited 2 months for this honey workmanship is fantastic. The tone is clean on top and bottom.the feel is perfect for my style of finger picking. It came already in tune. That blew my mind because the only other guitars I have ever had that were tuned right out of the case(box in this instance)were Martins. That's a good thing! Excellent guitar for the money!

i bought this guitar about two weeks ago from a local music shop and couldn't be more pleased. it has amazing tone, and plays a lot better than anything i would ever expect from this price range. not to mention, it is a beautiful guitar. my only complaints are that the eq doesn't have a built in tuner, and the neck is a little thick. but overall an amazing buy.

For the money, this is a really nice guitar. The neck is fast and smooth, and the build is solid. It projects well unplugged, with midrange punch and good balance overall. Plugged in, it's very bright, but the EQ is responsive enough to make sound adjustment easy. I'd always wanted one of these funky-looking guitars, so thanks Fender for finally making a left-handed one.
