I've had this guitar for a year. I got it right before my band went on tour. I needed another guitar other than my Jaguar. I was gonna put a humbucker in the bridge but decided not to cause the pick ups it had were good. I don't know if they are stock or not cause I got it used. I gave this a 10 for quality because I was doing a show and after the last song we trashed are instruments. I jammed the head of the neck into the skin of a bass drum and then threw it into the drum set and it knocked it over. Then I slammed the head stock into the amps and after threw it into the rafters in the room and then it came down and landed right on the neck. I threw it up there like three times or something. It was dark so I couldnt tell what damage was done. The next day I expected to find a trashed guitar but I looked and the only damage was that three tuners broke off and the neck was chipped a little so all I had to do was replace the neck. I couldn't believe it. This should hold up for you garage and bedroom jammers!!!

This guitar is pretty average. If you do decide to buy this guitar, in order to make it sound good you need to replace the pickups, id go with a set of noiseless or a hot rail in the bridge. Also the tuning keys are crap, replace them with grovers. So this will set you back another 150ish so ya I'd go with the Schecter C-1 Artist which is now available left handed. Its so much better and nothing needs to be replaced on it. Your choice. Hope I could help.

Cheap

By Sylvester

from Detroit, MI

This guitar is cheap. It kinda goes outta tune. Really bad humming on the pickups. When I bought this guitar in a couple of months the Whammy bar broke right inside the bridge. If you're looking for a good inexpensive guitar, buy a jackson or an ibanez. In my mind this guitar is cheap and too high of a price for the value of this guitar. Fender Really went bad with this item.

Fender Strat

I've been playing a squier for a year now until I upgraded to this. This strat has a very nice sound to it when plugged in to the clean channel. It's very versatile b/c of its S-1 switching. I can get all sorts of sounds with it. However, when overdriven, there is a noticeable amount of hum heard. The P/U are good but the bridge p/u is a little thin sounding but thats no problem. Fender made a very sturdy guitar, I've dropped it a few times on accident but there are no scratches or dents. Overall, a great guitar to upgrade to.

Overall this is a pretty good guitar.

I play a black Mexican made Strat. It was my first guitar. It plays pretty good. But what i don't like is the feel of the neck and the thin tone. The clean tone is absolutely thrilling but you can't make the dirty tone sound mean at all. Sadly I'm soon to trade this in for an SG Special Faded though im really hoping to avoid that. If you want to learn how to play guitar, then this is the perfect guitar to learn on!

Fender standard strat left handed

By Anonymous

from Undisclosed

I have been playing guitar on a pro level for 15 years. I got this guitar as a throw around instrument, and beleive me, it is not. Fender got it right this time. For a non-American instrument, it is very good. Just get a better neck with jumbo frets and you got a kick a** axe.

The hottest guitar since Hendrix!

When I got this guitar for my 16th Birthday, I could not put it down! I love the three single coil pickups, and the sleek neck for fast play. I do have other guitars, but they just don't compare! The Strat is the best guitar that ever happened to me!

This strat is BY FAR the best bang for your buck!

This guitar blows me away! its 3 pickups really get the job done. when I hook it up to my mini-amp, i feel like i'm Angus Young or Jimi Hendrix. And it sounds almost identical to the american version, For less than half the price!!! I'd recommend it to anyone who wants to buy a rockin', relatively low-priced guitar.

Great value

By Nick-ptqqQ

from Kalamazoo, MI

This guitar is great. Very solid, high quality, well balanced. The hum when distorted isn't terrible but changing to noiseless pickups would make it as good or better than any american strat. The strings that come with it had to be changed, but other than those two things this is one amazing instrument.
