I got this guitar about a year and a half ago, and I love it to death. The monochrone black body looks totally sick. The pickups are really good too, I get a better sound quality out of this then my friend/guitarist gets out of his guitar that he paid nearly 3 times as much for. I play through a Fender 212R amp, and it sounds exactly like Angus Young on "Back in Black." Don't miss out on a sweet guitar. Only complaint is the neck is kinda thick and took a while to get used to.
I wanted a guitar I could take on business trips that was sturdy, sounded mellow and I wouldn't be embarrased to be seen with. This baby fit's the bill perfectly. I've travelled with it for a year now and it's still as good as new. I normally use this with a Line6 Guitarport attached to my laptop in a hotel room, sometimes I skip the guitarport and play it unplugged. The sound, feel and quality are all great and the Midnight Wine with Black pickguard is gorgeous. The humbuckers give me a much more mellow tone then my old standard 3 single pickup strat so this fit's my taste in music better.
this is a very nice strat. fills all my expectations, as far as a strat is concerned. Real nice.
Great guitar... annoying buzz on clean sometimes and not perfectly crisp clear sound w/ distortion. Could sound better...much better. I dont like the knobs since they are plastic. Gives it a cheaper look. They necks are all made differently quality wise..... some necks need to have the frets sanded down. Just have your guitar inspected first and you will be fine. Great guitar though I recommend it for beginners. It will last awhile for beginners unlike the squiers which they will quickly outgrow. Great guitar...check it out.
This guitar is a superb instrument. I used to use a white Squier strat, but I needed something with thicker, richer sound. The gain on my amp is usually on 5 and the guitar sounds better than my squier on 10. Mine had a few paint smudges in the finish, but they're on the back. It possesses the versatility of a Strat, so it's great for a variety of music. The A string tends to hum when I use the lower 3 strings, but a simple appliance of pressure solves that. It's a superb instrument, and I can't wait to deck it out with some more powerful humbuckers. The white on black is just like Johnny Ramone's guitar.
This guitar is well worth it. It's inexpensive and sounds great. This is the first guitar i've ever owned, and i still use it now.
I just received this guitar and it's the best I have ever played. Amazing tone, perfect action, and nice fretboard. AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!
Well when I went to the music store to purchase a new guitar I had my mind set on buying a custom tele...but then I saw this bad boy sittin on the shelf...and I had to play it...played it fell in love and thats how it goes...I bought the agave blue...this guitar has excellent tone and range I can get nice clean ska riffs out to some serious heavy grunge distortion...it plays really well on my Peavey Transtube head...love the sound...the fret board is nice it could be a little faster but it's perfect right now...I can't put it down..I've had it for about a year now...Def. Buy this guitar if you're looking for a good guitar...you don't have to play a Gibson to get good sound..I won't play anything but fender..
This is guitar is unbelieveable. I just got into a band and needed an awesome guitar that I could afford and this was it. It sounds great. It has a sweet crunch and a really good clean sound to it. It's worth every penny.
I was happy when I found out this MIM Strat came with a Fender gig bag at no additional charge. When I found out the humbuckers were Tex-Mex, I was ecstatic. I love the sustain and tone. The HH Strat's Rosewood neck is a nice complement to the Maple neck on my MIM Midnight Wine Standard Strat. It's wider allowing a different feel when desired. I do have a couple low-response frets beyond the 12th fret so I'll have to have that adjusted out.If you're looking for a Stratocaster with some hot pickups, this might be the one for you. Mine is black with the black pickguard and looks really great with the chrome hardware. Though I'd like to have gold hardware, the chrome will last forever if you take care of it.
