Comments about Fender Standard Stratocaster Plus Top, Maple Fingerboard:

I bought the first one of these that my local dealer had. Very nice quality and a flame maple top to die for! It is just a veneer, but it's about 1/8 thick. I put Lace Sensors in the neck and middle and a dimarzio tone zone in the bridge. The stock pickups sound "ok" but now it sounds AMAZING! The neck on mine had some flame as well. Nice thick deep c shape neck. I also put Graph teck saddles on as I didn't care for the vintage saddles, but thats a personal preference. This Strat is worth every penny!

Comments about Fender Standard Stratocaster Plus Top, Maple Fingerboard:

I purchased this exact one in the aged cherry sunburst with the maple neck and all i can say is, wow, wow and wow !!! This axe plays as good as it looks.and It is nearly impossible to tell the difference between a MiM from made in USA... The maple neck shines just as much as the beautiful body shines. The sound and the action is unreal delivering that distinct Fender sound. I would not trad this guitar for any other it sounds and plays that well.. Thank you Fender and Musicians Friends for making and selling a guitar that can be enjoyed for many many years !!!

I highly recommend!!! This guitar sounds and looks great. It doesn't cost much more than the traditional stardard strats, but I sure looks like it cost a lot more. Also this style is a limited edition so don't pass it up.

Comments about Fender Standard Stratocaster Plus Top, Maple Fingerboard:

Let me just say that while it may be a mim strat make no mistake it is a strat. I have owned several in my time and as far as feel and build quality it ranks right up there with the American made strats. The only reason I didn't give it five stars is because the pups are noisey when distorted. Other than that this thing is beautiful, and it's solid. The flame maple veneer really sets it off. So far no issues other than the noise, which I plan to remedie with Lace sensor pickups. The neck feels really good even for my short fingers. If you keep it clean this thing is fine, but if you like to dirty it up a bit you may have to change the pickups. Other than that a great guitar for the money.

Comments about Fender Standard Stratocaster Plus Top, Maple Fingerboard:

First off I have to say that Musician's Friend has been a pleasure to buy from. Their customer service has been great at working with me to make sure i'm satisfied. This guitar is great. While some other guitars in this price range have cut on quality in recent years, Fender has not. I mostly use this guitar for jamming and recording through my mac and it is a very comfortable guitar for. The pick-ups sound good and I have no complaints about them. You're getting a standard start body and quality, but the plus top makes this go from a nice looking guitar to a beautiful guitar. This guitar really looks like a much more expensive guitar than it is, and I feel like the pictures don't do it justice. Overall, I love the guitar and I'm happy dealing with MF.

Comments about Fender Standard Stratocaster Plus Top, Maple Fingerboard:

I;ve played and preferred Gibsons most of my life, but decided to give Strats a (second) chance. I bought the CAR MFB Stnd, and liked it so much I got this one about a month later. Fit and finish are great. Was easy to set up to my liking, being sesitive to small adjustments but very stable once setup was comlete. Easy, fun to play. Sounds good, handles effects well. Sounds good through my Solid state and tube amps. I would reccomend this to beginners, (skip the Squier),advanced players, and to pros, perhaps with some mods. Satisfied with these 2 standards ( remember that's MIM), and strongly considering a MIA Strat, Fender of course. Dealing with MF is always a good experience. Enjoy.

Love the quilted top. Excellent quality, and much improvement from 15 years ago. Couldn't find anything wrong. If playing professional concerts I would consider putting dimarzio pups in it with black pickguard. no complaints

Comments about Fender Standard Stratocaster Plus Top, Maple Fingerboard:

I love this guitar. For a little extra denaro you get a quilted top. Made in mexico, mine came perfect. I haven't bought fender guitars in exactly 15 years, and just for giggles I bought this one and a telecaster. Whoaw is all I can say. The necks, fretwork, electronics, paint job-- everything is much much better, almost to perfection. I say that because if I wanted to play concerts I would put the billy corgan black pickguard and dimarzion pups in it. Other than that, I'm floored.
