Comments about Fender Standard Stratocaster Satin Electric Guitar:

There was once a time I would not buy anything other than American Fenders. I owned 4 American teles and strats. That is no longer the case. I have actually purchased 5 Mexican Fenders in the last 3 years including this guitar. The quality is totally there, the finish and feel are fantastic and would put them right up with the American Fenders. The one thing that lacks in my opinion are the pickups. Do not get me wrong they sound really good just not as good as the American versions. That said, the price point on these are so much more affordable that even if you replaced the pickups you would still be saving a lot of money. The quality is so good on these that I no longer take the Mexican made Fenders out of the equation.
This guitar is worth it and not just for the price, it is a well made, durable guitar. 4 stars due to my opinion on the pickups but still fantastic!

Comments about Fender Standard Stratocaster Satin Electric Guitar:

This guitar is a Hit for Fender and a Home Run for Musician's Friend. I bought the Ocean Blue, Candy model from the Used Gear section and was astounded by what I received. It was Condition 3 and I expected it to have some nicks and dings. Well, other than some scratches on the pickguard, it was pristine. Oy, such a deal! As far as the guitar itself... I had shopped pickups and electronics to upgrade an old Squier Standard Strat and saw that for a little more money I could get this little beauty. The guitar has an awesome neck profile (I'm picky about necks). I'm used to my rounded 50's Les Paul Studio and while thinner, this neck has a good thick feel to it. The pups have staggered pole pieces and are very bright and clean with very little noise. The middle pup must be reverse wound as there is no noise whatsoever in positions 2 and 4. The hardware appears well made - the tuning keys are tight and the tremelo action is smooth. The only flaw, if you can call it one, is that the coloring of the rosewood fretboard on this specimen wasn't consistent. The wood goes from dark brown to a somewhat lighter shade of brown in one area as if the wood had been stained and a part of it was wiped with a cloth before the stain had dried. This is only a minor cosmetic issue and of no real concern to me. The headstock has the pre-CBS profile with the big 1970's logo which is quite attractive. The Ocean Blue color is gorgeous and looks great in bright lighting conditions. If you are looking to graduate from Squier but can't afford the U.S. made Strat, fear not, the quality of the Mexican Strats is fabuloso, mon cher amie. Just be sure to take one of the tremelo springs out of your Squier before parking it under your sofa. If you like a stiff tremelo, you will want to add a fourth spring to the bridge. Thank You to Musician's Friend and Mucho Gracious to Fender Mexico. [Is it obvious that I love this guitar?]

I HAVE NOW PURCHASED BOTH TELE AND STRAT MIM VERSIONS OF THIS LEVEL GUITAR. EXCELLENT SINGLE COIL TONE THROUGH SS AMPS, NO HUM EXCEPT WITH TUBES. GREAT FOR PEDALS INTO SS AMP THOUGH. NICE LOOK AND FEEL. I DROPPED IN LOCKING TUNERS, MAKES GREAT DIFFERENCE IN SATING TUNED, IMPROVES VALUE AND QUICK CHANGE OUTS FOR GIGGING MUSICIANS. I'M SOLD ON VALUE AND BUILD QUALITY. Comments about Fender Standard Stratocaster Satin Electric Guitar:

This guitar was perfect right out of the box,I usually have to set up a new guitar...not this time. The action was perfect, the neck is as straight as an arrow. The pickups are the standard MIM version, and are as usual, totally fine. I bought the satin Gold, and it's a neat change from the standard Strat colors. The only things I might change some day, which I usually do on all of my Strats, is to change the bridge saddles to GraphTechs..because the standard Strat saddles hurt the side of my palm when I play, and to add a fourth spring to deck the bridge, because I don't use the tremolo arm. All in all, this was a great purchase...a quality guitar in all aspects.

I really love this guitar. The stock photos do not do the colors justice. Google up some images. I got the Ocean blue candy, and I was in awe when I saw the color in the light. It was set up nicely, didn't touch a thing. Nice tone, nice action plenty of punch, and sustain. No fingerprints. I love this guitar. you can't go wrone these days with the MIM guitars. You get a lot for the money, and these new satin colors are awesome. I want a strat in Orange.

Comments about Fender Standard Stratocaster Satin Electric Guitar:

This is nice for the money. I've been playing for 20 years on and off and played all kinds Amer., MIM, etc.
There was a slight buzz on the D string but I wiggled it at the saddle where I thought the buzz was coming from and no more buzz.
I bought the blue one and it is beautiful. If it matters to you the emblem on the headstock looks black on the web pic but is actually black with a gold outline and the headstock has a nice gloss finish.
The thing plays just like the other standard MIM strats and sounds like a strat. Take into consideration the Mexico Plant is a Fender facility not some 3rd world assembly line some people like to put in your head.
All in all I'm very happy with it.
