Comments about Fender Standard Telecaster Satin Electric Guitar:

I wanted a practice player I could use to save my more expensive American Standard and Deluxe Strats. I settled on the Arizona Sun Satin Telecaster. I couldn't find a demo of the new satin guitars at our local GC, so I was pleasantly surprised when it came in.

This Telecaster is beautiful, workmanship simply top notch. The rosewood neck, dark and evenly colored, looks stunning. I played it for more than two hours right out of the box without much adjustment. As advertised, the pickups are hotter than normal. I did find the neck pickup to be a tad muddy, though nothing really to complain loudly about.

I decided to upgrade this beauty and just went all out: Sperzel tuners, Schaller strap locks, Barden vintage bridge plate and saddles, and G&G case. All these and still barely half the price of a Standard American. Anytime MusiciansFriend has a sale, I take advantage.

But the final touch was the best: a set of boutique, hand wound made to order pickups. The vibe, feel and sound of this Telecaster is truly nothing short of Custom Shop models. Made in Mexico? Don't tell my Deluxe Reverb amp that: it just sings.

Comments about Fender Standard Telecaster Satin Electric Guitar:

Great guitar!! Setup out of the box was very close to spot on, Intonated it just a touch. Arizona sun color is much better in person then shown on the site. The pickups are quiet, Even played with high gain through my Marshall or Mesa amps. Only things I changed were the tuners to Fender chrome locking and the string gauge to 10s(My preferred).Direct drop in from stock and much easier during string change time. Price is kind of high, But you get what you pay for in high quality. Tight neck pocket, Quality chrome hardware, Shielded hot pickups, Non sticky satin feel neck, Paint with no imperfections, Perfect setup out of the box, Frets dressed perfectly, Looks great with the rosewood board too!! As good or better then USA made ones I have played. LOOKS GREAT, PLAYS GREAT and am VERY happy with mine.

Comments about Fender Standard Telecaster Satin Electric Guitar:

Cool guitar. Exactly what I ordered and expected. Musician's Friend told me that the guitar needed some work (a pickup was not working). Got it, before they had estimated it's arrival by the way, and it didn't work. A minute repair and it's all good!

Comments about Fender Standard Telecaster Satin Electric Guitar:

Overall this is great guitar. I love the colors and the finish. The guitar played great right out of the box. The setup was with in specs for my playing style. I have owned Mexican Fenders in the past and found the setup rather poor, but this one is fine, no buzzing, the shielded PUP's are quite and have the Telecaster sound. The only issue I found was the fret board was rather dirty as if after leveling the frets they never wiped down the fret board. A good cleaning and I'm happy.

Comments about Fender Standard Telecaster Satin Electric Guitar:

I wanted a tele ever since I first started and boy am I happy with that decision. I been playing on a epiphone Les Paul 56 gold top reissue I bought 3 years ago for the exact price. They are both great well made guitars but this one is by far my favorite even over my Martin acoustic. Speed and playability is better than the les Paul and the tone is not as fat but a better tone in my opinion. I was amazed by the beautiful Arizona Sun finish which astounded me. Great tones for ever music genre. Stays in tune better than my LP and I've managed to get less fret buzz with 9 gauge strings than my les Paul after fiddling with them both. If u want a guitar and u don't have a tele. Stop messing around and pick this beautiful beast up now!

Enamored at first sight... Love at first chord played. Classic Tele feel and tone, a real joy to play. The only complaint was that the factory strings would not stay in tune. Changed them to a better quality, and it's now my go-to guitar!

I AM GOING TO DROP IN FENDER LOCKING TUNERS AND DIFFERENT HOTTER PUPS - THE GUITAR IS WORTH MODDING - ACTUALLY A GREAT BUILD BASE. BUT IT IS STILL TOTALLY WORTH THE PRICE AND PLAYS VERY WELL WITH EFFECTS ON A CLEAN CHANNEL SS AMP, WHICH IS HOW I USE IT. VERY FAST NECK, AND I LIKE THE ROSEWOOD ON A MIM! I GOT A GREAT DEAL, AND AM VERY SATISFIED WITH THE OCEAN BLUE SATIN FINISH. GREAT BLUES TELE!!!

Comments about Fender Standard Telecaster Satin Electric Guitar:

I just received the replacement guitar today, as the first one I received had a defective nut, so I sent it right back and got the replacement a little over a week later. Musician's Friend was very helpful and paid for the return shipping, so other than the understandable wait, I am well pleased with my purchase. I mainly play Epiphone and Gibson Les Pauls, but I wanted a Tele for more chimey stuff and this one delivers! I love the Flame Orange satin finish, and the feel of the neck. All three pickup settings sound great for different applications... a little noisy when it's distorted only when you're not playing, but that's the nature of single coil pickups. Great clean sound and it likes my pedals! Very happy with my new Tele, thanks!

I bought this guitar at a local music store. I love the feel of the body and neck. I'm a solid metal player, and I have already bought a Seymour Duncan Hot Rail to go in the bridge, but I'm leaving the neck pickup. The Arizona Orange color is awesome. Fender does it again, makes great guitars at a great price. Love it!

Comments about Fender Standard Telecaster Satin Electric Guitar:

I love this guitar. I haven't seen too many tele necks with a satin finish and rosewood fretboard. This is the first Fender I've seen with that combo. I love satin finishes and I prefer the sound that I get from rosewood, so this is perfect for me. I can play this thing fast!

This is a standard MiM tele except for the rosewood fretboard, slim headstock (which I love!), and matte finish on this beautiful, blue guitar. It took a while for the finish to grow on me, but I've come to love it.

As advertised, the bridge pickup does seem considerably hotter than most tele pickups that I've heard. It has quite a bit of humm though when distorted. I've only played the neck pickup clean and slightly over-driven, but it was fine. I've already ordered Seymour Duncan Quarter Pound pups as replacements.
