    This Fender Starcaster Stratocaster 1HB Electric Guitar Value Pack includes a Starcaster Stratocaster 1HB electric guitar and an SP-10 amp, plus an instrument cable, strap, strings, and picks.

    The Starcaster Stratocaster 1HB screams with a single humbucker in the bridge position. It also has a solid agathis body with pickguard, 21-fret rosewood fingerboard with dot position inlays, die-cast chrome tuners, and standard fulcrum tremolo bridge.

    The Squier SP-10 amp controls include volume, treble, bass, and an overdrive on/off button that delivers tube-like tone. A headphone output allows for silent practice. Ten watts drive a single 6" speaker, making this amp perfect for practicing at home or casual jamming with friends. The amp has a tough textured vinyl exterior to protect it from scratches during transport and keep it looking sharp.

    This Stratocaster (actually Starcaster... whatever that is) was bought to fix up for my grandson. As it turns out when I bought it, it's only good for parts. It has only one pick up and no tone control.... no tone control??? Hmmmm.

    On the other hand, the little amp that come with it works fine.

    To say the least, I was surprised with the purchase. Don't worry... I'm keeping it.

    An aside, Musicians Friend is an incredibly good company and website to work with. I will be purchasing many more products over time....

    On the website side of M/F, the professionalism is the best I have ever seen.

    Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

    i can't comment on the sound as i never hooked it up to an amp. the headstock on this tele is very small and the body is kind of large. i just couldn't get past the look. i am positive if the head stock was just a little larger it would give the guitar a more balanced look. i ended up returning it. however, i did later buy a black fender strat off the site that i am very happy with. if you can get past that small head, fender sound is awesome. i should know. i have 3 :)
