The best of both the acoustic and electronic worlds.
Love the way your electric guitar feels and the way our acoustic guitar sounds? Now you don't have to give up a thing—the Stratacoustic Deluxe features a real Fender Stratocaster neck. And with the Fishman electronics and a Fender Telecaster pickup, you get the ultimate blend of both worlds.
Fender's wildly popular Stratacoustic has been upgraded and redesigned by Dan Smith and the Fender‚ California/Nashville R&D team. This acoustic is truly made for electric guitarists by featuring a real Stratocaster neck—something no other company can do.
The Fishman Classic IV MT preamp features a wide sonic range, flexible controls, and easy battery access, along with a built-tuner. This preamp also features a blend control to allow a blend between the built-in Fender Telecaster‚ pickup an the Fishman under-the-saddle pickup, for a tonal range that is truly amazing.

I must set the record straight... Several years ago, Fender made a horrible Stratacoustic with a fiberglass back and laminated spruce top with bad electronics and tuners. This is NOT that guitar. This is the "Deluxe" which is made with a solid mahogany back, solid spruce top, REAL Stratocaster neck (which can be swapped with any Strat?s), very nice Fishman electronics, standard tuners, and a Mexican Tele neck pickup. So, this isn't even the same guitar most of these reviews are referring to. Their guitars are closer to the current Stratacoustic "Standard" which utilizes the same construction materials as the old models, but has much better electronics and over-all build quality. Suffice to say, if you buy this guitar, you will be pleased.
I've had this guitar for almost 5 years now. It seems to need to be set up at least once a year. Even using 9's the string tension warps the "official strat" neck. Body is plastic and the electronics are worthless. I set a new rocord for keeping this guitar in tune the other day.....8 minutes. I bought this with the intention of recording with it. It sounds worse recorded than unplugged which also sounds terrible. If you're looking for a slim body acoustic electric go buy an Ovation.
This guitars tone will not last more than a year. The construction method they use is just pathetic. It's basically a plastic toy with strings and the electronics on it are terrible. If you buy this guitar expect to have to do a lot of work on the neck and replace the tuners. For the price it is simply not worth it. There are solid body acoustics out there that cost half the price and sound a million times better.
I have always been a fender man.I was surprised buy the somewhat warm tone unplugged. Not a full dreadnought by any means but actually a nice balance IMHO. The tuners are an embarrassment. How can two simple gears have a 1/4 turn of gear lash is beyond me. Sine I had to swap tuners I did the whole neck with a REAL American CBS style Start neck, jumbo frets, and I run 10 gauge electric strings. Perfect around the house AX and plugged in it's very good. Plus I can bend like an electric now.Just so you know the EQ only applies to the Acoustic pick up. I love it with my mods. Stock I think it's over priced. YMMV
