An acoustic-electric for the gritty punk rocker.

Based on Tim Armstrong's beat up old Sixties acoustic, on which he writes all the songs for the legendary punk band Rancid, the Fender Tim Armstrong Hellcat left-handed acoustic-electric guitar is ready to slam its way into the mosh pit. Tim has given his acoustic some modern flair and style with pearl acrylic "Hellcat" logos on the 3rd, 5th, and 7th frets while a couple of skulls adorn the 12th fret. Other features include Fender FTE3-TN preamp with built in tuner, strap button, scalloped bracing, solid mahogany top and a look that will have you singing "Roots Radicals" till your Mohawk is ready for its next trim. Fender includes Tim's custom "Let's Go" guitar strap that perfectly complements this acoustic's edgy visuals.

Comments about Fender Tim Armstrong Hellcat Left-Handed Acoustic-Electric Guitar:

Very comfortable guitar to play. Perfect size, well built and great appearance (the hellcat inlays are over the top cool). On board tuner very nice, and the volume / eq work great. Once you play it and find it's a great sounding acoustic, then plug it in - Pow! You'll be blown away how clear and powerful this little parlor size guitar becomes. Great for practicing, studio work and live. Having an acoustic that sounds great was key for me, but having one that plugs in and sounds great is even better. About time someone made a great acoustic for us lefties, and Fender nailed it with the Tim Armstrong Hellcat.

Comments about Fender Tim Armstrong Hellcat Left-Handed Acoustic-Electric Guitar:

All in all not too bad, built well and sounds good. Would be nice if it came with a case, I'd pay an extra few bucks if it did.
Built-in tuner is great to have.
Very nicely built. Is solid and all the bindings are incredibly smooth. The hellcat inlays are pretty classy. I like that the finish of the guitar is not glossy. It gives it a nice feel and you don't leave fingerprints all over it. The guitar is much darker than the pictures, but I knew that going in and like the color of it very much. Just had it a couple of weeks and the neck is already breaking in nicely.
A little frustrating to pay more for the left-handed version, especially since it's an artist model and the artist is left-handed. Otherwise a pretty decent deal for a nice guitar.
