There are very few guitars under five hundred bucks that I think are "must haves"...let alone under 3 bills. This is one such guitar. I've owned my Native for several years now and it really is a "go to" guitar. Of the 30 or so guitars that I own, this is the ONLY one that makes it to every gig. It's darn near bullet proof. It fits just about every style and won't break you back or your wallet in the process.
This is an exceptional buy for an "entry level" guitar. It feels solid when you hold it (although it is not heavy) and sounds exactly what I was hoping for when played through my 'low watt' tube amp. This is probably the best starter guitar on the market...get it while it's this cheap! I emailed Fernandes customer servie for a simple question and got a reply the same day...in case you're wondering about customer service. All in all, I'm glad I bought this awesome guitar.
These seem to be on clearance all over the place, so pick one up. Very well put together right out of the case - no setup required. I tune half a step down, in D (or Db I guess), so I use a heavier gauge string (Not-Even Slinky). Even with such a drastic change, the guitar required minimal setup. Intonation was perfect. The neck is thicker than most 6 strings, but after playing this for a few months, it's easy to get accustomed to; I've actually prefer thicker necks because of this guitar now. The pickups sound excellent. The humbucker at the bridge has good output, and the Tele style pickup at the neck sounds great. It has more bass at the neck then a regular Tele, but still has a 'twang' to it.I switched to a pearl pickguard, and noticed the quality on the inside of the guitar was just as good as the exterior - neat wires, proper shielding, tight bolts on the pots etc which was better than my Am. Tele for sure (AND a Gibson SG + Music Man Luke my guitarist has) Finish of the black paint is very good. I've knocked it around a lot on stage with no dents or scratches on the paint. Overall, this is an insane price on a great guitar. If I didn't already own another (earlier Native X Pro with the sustainer), I'd buy another.
Entry to pro, this guitar does it all.Great sound from mellow to headbanging.Fast neck no fret buzz and has that burst when you need it.Beautiful body I have the red metal flake. It really shines. So if looking for a great guitar for an unbeleivable price.Look no further.
