Comments about Fernandes Ravelle Elite Electric Guitar:

I've had my Ravelle for 9-10 years. Wow, time flies. When I got it I had been playing guitar for about 3 years and it was my first good guitar. Since then I've also had a Gibson Blueshawk, Hagstrom Viking and Fender Strat. I still have the strat but sold the other two. Throughout this whole time no guitar I've owned or played has rivaled my beloved Ravelle. The sustainer is awesome, the tone is awesome, the quality is awesome, everything is great.

Why only 4 stars then? Because for the first several years I owned it I had an intermittent problem where the guitar volume would drop out, sometimes momentarily, sometimes for the rest of a show. I sent the guitar back to Fernandes multiple times but they were never able to resolve it. Finally in 2010 when I was more comfortable working on electronics I opened up the case and found multiple exposed wires that were touching each other and grounding out. I fixed that, had the same issue about a year later. Opened it up again, found two wires that were connected by being wrapped in electrical tape, no soldering at all! I fixed that, and just this last week the problem happened again. This time a sloppy soldering job on the output jack had come loose and was grounding out against my instrument cable.

So the guitar is incredible, but this early model had a lot of wiring issues, very sloppy all around and unacceptable for such a high end guitar. I don't know if this is still the case, but the wiring in these things is no small matter because of the infinite sustainer.

It's too bad that I have to take a star off for this, because I expect the ravelle elite to be my main guitar for the rest of my life.

Comments about Fernandes Ravelle Elite Electric Guitar:

This guitar is just plain fun to play. It is comfortable and really can produce a myriad of sounds. The sustain is fun to play with and definitely adds a unique sound.
I own many guitars more expensive than this one, however, the Fernandes Ravelle Elite is my go to guitar when I just want to chill out and play some good grooves.
I have played guitar for 50 years and wouldn't trade the Fernandes. I like it!

          Amazing Guitar!

          By Skylar Kessler

Comments about Fernandes Ravelle Elite Electric Guitar:

I hate giving things a full 10, but this guitar certainly deserves it. It is hands down, the best guitar I have ever played, which is quite a lot. I would thouroughly recommend this guitar to anyone. I have owned the product for about a year now, and there are has not a time where I have not been excited at the prospect of picking up this guitar and playing.
The guitar certainly doesn't lack features. The sustainer pickup is amazing, it sustains the note forever, and gives you the option of raising it to a harmonic- fifth I believe. The tone on the pickup itself is great too. The bridge pickup is hit and miss to people, but I'm a huge fan of it. It also has semi-locking tuners. They allow you to tune the guitar perfectly fine, but they stop the strings from slipping out of tune quite well. The neck on this guitar is stellar, and the fret access is superior to a Les Paul or Telecaster.
This guitar was built incredibly. If you treat it nicely, it will likely last you forever. It is sturdy, I have not had any problems with tuners, electronics, input jacks, strap buttons or hardware. This guitar is built to last.
I own two other guitars of this price, and this guitar blows them out of the water in every aspect imaginable, from playablility, to tone, to diversity, to sturdiness. Well worth the money, and then some.

          My Prized Fernandes

          By Aaron Dick

          from Wisconsin

Comments about Fernandes Ravelle Elite Electric Guitar:

Ok, so I have owned this guitar for about 5 years. Im not really into all the guitar tech or technicalities. All I know is this guitar has only needed the action set twice in the 5 years Iv owned it. The sustain is phenominal. The fret play. Good god, I can go for a whole show in a night and still play for the people after ward at after parties and whatnot. I've played Jacksons and Fenders and Gibsons. But all of them seem like they're too stiff. It's as if the personality of the guitar is closed off. My Ravelle is always kind and arm and ready to be shredded on. The strings never get strung too tight. Always decent bend. Even in E standard. The fret board is so smooth. Not to mention the way it carries and ringd through a room. This is the best guitar I have ever played.

          Fernandes ravelle

          By Alex-b_OyR

Comments about Fernandes Ravelle Elite Electric Guitar:

I have this guitar for about one day. It has a great sound, nice look and comfortable neck and action. Unfortunatly, I noticed that there are some kind of scratches on 16 and 17th frets. It is awful to make bends on these positions. Another thing - (in my particular guitar), I'm not able to adjust the truss rod. The truss rod's nut was broken and after I restringed my guitar there was low-low action with a lot of fret BUZZ. Tomorrow I'll bring it back to the store and take my money to buy another guitar. Please, check guitars carefully before you buy it!

          Very Surpised!!! Great guitar!

Comments about Fernandes Ravelle Elite Electric Guitar:

So, this is my very first time doing a review, but I felt inspired....so here I go!!!I have heard about Fernandes guitars since the late 80's but never tried one until recently. I have been playing guitar for over 25 year and have had and still have all the usual suspect (i.e. Gibson, Fender, Jackson etc). I was giving lesson the other day when one of my more advanced students came in with his new guitar. A Fernandes Ravelle elite with a sustainer. After just a couple of minutes on noodling on it I was HOOKED! It played fantastic! Very fast neck and the sustainer was really cool, like having an e-bow built into your guitar!!..So I saved up a couple of bucks, sold one of my other guitars and bought this one! This has become one of my favorites guitars to use live!
