Comments about Gibson 2013 SG Deluxe Electric Guitar:

Beautiful workmanship right out of the box. Setup was dead on and fret edges were dressed well with no sharp edges protruding beyond the binding. Tonal qualities are great and i Love the TogPot control.

Comments about Gibson 2013 SG Deluxe Electric Guitar:

I was prepared to be blown away by this guitar. Sadly it let me down. The build quality is excellent, the fretboard binding is beautiful and the guitar has a good feel to it - the neck feels just right.. but then when you plug it in you should be prepared to be disappointed.
The "57" pickups are not wound very hot at all... they sound weak and distant, hollow and artificial, tinny and bland. No matter how you adjust the controls- you can't get a nice crunch or overdriven sound no matter how hard you try. -so... you can try to run everything through artificial effects like pedals and modeling amps, or you'll want to change out the pickups for Burstbuckers or tar back pickups. Almost anything Gibson makes sound better than these "57 pickups do. I really wanted to love this guitar, but I don't. It sits in the case while I play other less expensive guitars that sound 100 percent better than this one.

Comments about Gibson 2013 SG Deluxe Electric Guitar:

My first new, decent quality guitar was an SG over 45 years ago. After a couple of dozen additions to my collection (incl. a Custom Firebird) I find myself back with another SG. My first SG was stripped except for the Bigsby with Gibsons' boring mahogany finish. This new 2013 SG Deluxe has 3 humbuckers, a Bigsby, a bound fretboard, a very cool tonal adjustment in the pickup selector switch and a gorgeous new metallic red finish! Seems I've come full-circle with this super-upgraded SG becoming my new favorite axe. I was lucky that MF was able to find me this great new model from last year. Thanks Daniel

Comments about Gibson 2013 SG Deluxe Electric Guitar:

First of all, it is an SG which says enough, if you play and know what an SG is all about. I was a little nervous about the color when I ordered it, but not when I got it. It looks awsome. Definitely stands out. As far as the playability, it is great. Love the lightness of the SG, love the 3 humbuckers and the way that they can be blended with the toggle switch. Overall, this is an awsome guitar.

Comments about Gibson 2013 SG Deluxe Electric Guitar:

This is a great Axe! It's much heavier than my standard SG, but not even close to the weight of the Les Paul. The upside...extra weight makes this thing sustain like the crazy. It sounds and plays great. The bigsby tremolo is very cool, but takes some getting used to when it comes to accessing the controls around it. The toggle pot for blending the pickups is a little awkward when playing live, but I think it's just going to take some getting used to as well. I've been playing an SG for years and wanted the flexibility of the Bigsby and middle pickup. The flame top looks cool in the pics, but that doesn't compare to the awesomeness of the real thing. All in all this is another kick butt machine from the Gibson factory. If you're looking for a unique SG you certainly won't be disappointed with this choice.

Comments about Gibson 2013 SG Deluxe Electric Guitar:

This is the SG I was looking for over 35 years. This is the one. I liked it so much, we have 2 of them inside the house, the Red Fade and the Lime burst.

They are just gorgeous and I love those guitars. I could play anything I want, I have no limits.

It sounds almost like a synthesizer when I have some distortion on my amp, I am more than happy.

I will rock the house with this bomb. I already does with my other guitars, but this one is going to be the SG of the Century.

              I love it!!!!!!

Comments about Gibson 2013 SG Deluxe Electric Guitar:

I bought this SG in Red Fade a few months ago after seeing it on this site. Looked like it would be a good all around guitar, and after receiving it and playing it for the last few months it didn't disappoint. It actually exceeded my expectations.

The neck is slim and easy to handle and the action is surprising fast. The 57 classic pickups give the guitar an awesome tone, especially when played through my Vox AC30. The electronics and tone options are what really what make the guitar for me. The togpot has been a valuable addition. Not to mention, with the red fade finish, it's one of the most beautiful guitars I've played. It can be difficult to keep in tune if the bigsby is used often but that's to be expected with a bigsby bridge. I love this guitar and it's the number one work horse in my collection. Gibson did well with this one.

Fast neck, lightweight, timeless styling - with a modern twist. Bought the lime green, may not be everyone's first color choice, but looks great and plays even better.
