Comments about Gibson 2014 Les Paul Studio Pro Electric Guitar:

I really like the pickups and with the coil taps they provide a wide range of tones. Really sound good with my Fender Blues Jr amp. Good setup out of the box. No defects. Excellent customer support from Musicians Friend.

Comments about Gibson 2014 Les Paul Studio Pro Electric Guitar:

the standard 10 gauge strings that came installed on this guitar did not sound right as a previous review said it sounded flat. I installed a set of ernie ball super slinky .09 gauge strings and what a difference. to me anyway. the grover tuners seem to be of substantial quality. I would have prefered a pro burstbucker in the neck but the 57 classic will do. the coil slit sounds like a Gibson les paul with coil split. no fender sounds here. I changed the big ugly knobs out with a set of standard Gibson speed knobs. looks better. the new larger strap pins are a plus. its about time Gibson did that upgrade. the case is good except for the lid strap. it is more flimsy than the ones on their other cases it doesn't fold neatly inside when the lid is closed. all things considered including the price. I think it is a pretty decent axe.

Comments about Gibson 2014 Les Paul Studio Pro Electric Guitar:

Great out of the box. No setup required. Beautifully and sounds great. Size and proportions are perfect for me as I have shorter arms and small hands, similar to my Martin ooo28ec with a neck which is not as wide as the Martins thus making bar chords easier. Great craftsmanship and about the same weight as my Fender 70's Strat. Totally satisfied.

Comments about Gibson 2014 Les Paul Studio Pro Electric Guitar:

The sparkling finish is very eye-catching on that one. Fret dressing is perfect and that guitar plays itself. The humbucker split option adds versatility to that guitar which will for sure become a real workhorse for live gigs. The vintage-style brown / pink hardcase is a nice reminiscence of the past although a numlock latch would have been a must.

Comments about Gibson 2014 Les Paul Studio Pro Electric Guitar:

I always wanted a studio or a pro electric guitar by gibson. The candy blue is my favorite color and a vintage sunburst, also. I like Les Paul guitars anyway and this is the one to have. Plays great and sounds like a gibson is suppose to sound. You have to be careful sometimes on buying certain Les Paul guitars cause they all do not play and sound good all the time. There is only one that will fit your needs!
