Comments about Gibson 2014 LPJ14 Electric Guitar:

Was given this guitar as a gift, was blown away by how great it felt and played right out of the box. There was a slight rough blemish on the side of the body, looked like it may have been caused my the zipper of the gig back that came with it. Great sounding guitar, great pups and electronics, very good quality gig bag, overall very happy with the playability and sound of this. Would especially recommend to someone wanting a good sounding electric without breaking the bank.

Comments about Gibson 2014 LPJ14 Electric Guitar:

The guitar was beautiful right out the box. It has a beautiful sound with a little buss that is very easy to fix took 15 min and a screw driver. All I can say is this is the best guitar so far that I have and at a great price.

Comments about Gibson 2014 LPJ14 Electric Guitar:

It was just time to put some money down on a Gibson. I've had many Epi Lp's which are nice guitars ,but i could never get "that sound" even with Gibson pickups installed. I purchased this LPJ feeling confident and knowing what to expect in general. My only concern was the guitar being too heavy. To my surprise the guitar arrived with a lighter weight than expected. Right around 9lbs.which is my preferance. The guitar is nice and resonant. The guitar was set up to spec and plays well. The pickups remind me of a Burstbucker 2&3 with Alnico 5 magnets which compliment the maple neck of this guitar well with nice sweet mids and ample crunch through my Marshall amp.The volume and tone knobs are a whole new experience. They definitely catch your fingers much quicker being notched. I can't say I don't like them just a different feel. Overall the guitar is wonderful and i really enjoy playing it.

Comments about Gibson 2014 LPJ14 Electric Guitar:

OK its a JR not a full blown Les Paul so dont even think to compare one to the other. Totally different animal. Mine looked good out of the box.(fireburst) No flaws to be seen. Pickup hight and string setup not to my likeing (G string intonation was way off) but dialed it in to my of playing and all was good. Frets could have been filed a wee bit smoother not bad but as I am used to a ES 335's frets. Now to the pickups....Kind of bright. Now this is not really a bad thing as There was enought of tone control to smooth them out just nicely. From 1 to 6 regular guitar sound then ramp them puppies up 7 and above and then its a totally different guitar. They go hot. Great bite to my effects. When playing slide this guitar really sounds great at 10 on the volume knob. Over all got to give it a 9.5 out of 10. BUY ONE!!!!!
