F-hole emblem engraved truss rod cover: The iconic symbol of the Gibson ES line is now the hallmark of Gibson Memphis.
Grover Milk Bottle Rotomatic tuners: Retro style tuners with modern features and 18:1 ratio for improved tuning accuracy.

Rolled neck binding: Binding is rounded off to comfortably fit the contours of the player's hand.
Block inlay fretboard: Block fingerboard inlays are synonymous with the 1960's ES-335.
Low profile frets: Lower fret height provides smooth playability and accurate intonation.
New finish colors: New variations on your favorite vintage color schemes as well as all new, eye catching colors.
Burstbucker 1 & 2 pickups: Pickups are calibrated for each position for balanced output & brighter sound (closer to original PAF's)

Comments about Gibson 2015 ES-339 Semi-Hollow Electric Guitar:

Worth waiting for! I have owned 74 Guitars in my 59-year
playing history including 3 L5s, 2 Les Pauls,an ES355,4 Chet Atkins Gibsons,an ES340,a Gibson Byrdland, and various Fenders including Jaguars,Stratocasters, and Telecasters. This guitar does it all for me and I would suggest it to anyone wanting a quality guitar.

Comments about Gibson 2015 ES-339 Semi-Hollow Electric Guitar:

Try putting it down - yes, back in the case - seal the latches.

Yea - OK. See how long THAT lasts???!

This Gibson is a pleasure to play - effortless and smooth for feel - and for sound, it can do most anything, and do it to please your ears. You can do Jazz, Pop, Rockabilly, Country, Pop, Rock'n'Roll - and have the tones right where you want them.

The pickups and the volume tapers and tone pots interact better than any I have come across yet. The Memphis Tone-Circuit, as they call it, works great. No matter where you are on your knobs - a simple tweak makes sure you don't lose your Presence. As the old saying goes - you better start with enough brightness, because you can take it away - but if it's not there to start, you cant add it in. Say you are in the the middle position, but want it a little more crisp - push up the Bridge pickup a number. Now it's crisp - but a toouch too bright? NP - bring back the bridge tone a number. You can always get it where you need. And even at lower settings, it doesn't muddy up. This is the first time I've used these balanced Burstbuckers - and they are terrific - you can get every string nice and crisp.

The look of the guitar is perfect - great sunburst - and the inlays add a nice touch, replacing the dots being used prior to 2015. The Grovers work nicely - the vintage-look tulip tuners being used prior to 2015 also worked well when I demo'd one - but I will take Grovers any day of the week.

Comfort wise - the darn thing nearly plays itself - between the neck, the low frets, action and the light weight. At first I thought the neck was too slim - but now really like it.

To compare - I have another Gibson, but gig/record W Gretsch Pro Line & Stratocasters. When I use the 339 instead, it covers all the ground I need - & in many ways takes me sonically further w the rich overtones.

Gibson did a GREAT job - both in design - and in the build here. I Can't Put the Darned Thing Down...

Comments about Gibson 2015 ES-339 Semi-Hollow Electric Guitar:

When I opened the case I was amazed at the beauty of this guitar, it is flawless. The craftsmanship is superb, the binding looks great and the wood grain is spectacular, this rivals my Les Paul with a sun burst finish. The guitar plays great, tone is outstanding, this is a great purchase.
