Comments about Gibson 2015 Les Paul Classic Electric Guitar:

This is a beautiful guitar. I bought it in the Sea Foam Green. Gorgeous guitar. This guitar came with the best action and playability out of the box I have ever experienced. I didn't have to do a thing to it. Action is very low. No fret buzz anywhere, even when tuned down a half step. The coil taps give you the versatility to make it snap like the other brand we all know and love. Several tone combinations with a very nice DB boost. Came in a very nice gold case. For the price you won't be disappointed.

    Cons:

I am not real sure I like the auto tuner. It's not perfectly accurate. It's a little fiddly to change settings for other tunings and now that I have gotten it to tune to E flat I can't get it to reset back to a 440. When you change to an alternative tuning it becomes the default. The instructions did not come with the guitar so I had to download them from the net. Likely a Gibson oversight. I have followed every instruction and it still won't reset to regular tuning. You can bypass it and use the tuners if the auto tune function is off. I may end up scrapping this function and putting new Gibson tuning machines on it. Not sure how much of a hassle that will be. Great idea, needs more work. The battery like on the tuner is rechargeable and last a good long time. Not really sure what the 9-volt is for. I suspect the DB boost.

All in all I am very happy with this guitar. Gibson hit this one out of the park with its appearance and features. The neck is a little wider than a regular Les Paul which prevents you from slipping off at the high E or rolling the low E off. Great feature and very comfortable.

Comments about Gibson 2015 Les Paul Classic Electric Guitar:

I have the Gibson Premium AAA Standard Gibson and this Gibson plays and sounds excellent to me, and plays exceptionally. I love the sound, tone, ease of tuning due to the new "tunes itself" edition to this guitar, the ability to remove the pick guard, so many different features, and the fit and finish are flawless on mine. Hope you'll order, and enjoy as much as I do?

Comments about Gibson 2015 Les Paul Classic Electric Guitar:

I gave this guitar five stars. Loved it, but couldn't adjust to playing it. I realized that the original strings were very wrong for me and bought two new sets of strings I like. I watched Gibson's instructional vid on changing strings with G-Force and took notes. It's much harder than the video pretends...nightmare. Wasted two low E strings until I got it figured out. Then, on the B string, the G-Force kept winding until the string broke. Started again...broke again. With this unfortunate G-Force on it, the entire guitar is useless. Sorry I bought it for so much money. Should have gotten a USA-made PRS or just stuck with my Korean-made PRS SE Tremonti which is much, much more playable and sounds almost as good. I bought the LP as an investment and hope I can get some of my wasted money back on it. No more LPs. Highly overrated. I hope it isn't too late to get my money back. Comments about Gibson 2015 Les Paul Classic Electric Guitar:

My son and I, both experienced players, were expecting some improvement over our excellent Dean, PRS, and Ibanez guitars, all from South Korea, but we were stunned at how superior the USA-made Les Paul Classic actually is in terms of playability, performance, and tone. The unique fireburst finish is beautiful. The typical LP fourth knob was replaced with an onboard preamp toggle. The fine preamp provides punch with clean sound and, along with coil-splitting, gives me tone options that traditional LPs don't have. These new features are great additions to the previous versions. The pickups are extraordinary and blow everything else I've ever played out of the water, including other LPs. They provide hot output that is nonetheless warm, rich, and clean, and the sustain and tone are beyond my expectations. Clean tones come out powerfully, but crystal clear...no noise, just gorgeous sound. The G FORCE tuner is easy to use, accurate, and a real treat. The hard shell case is elegant and practical. I am confident that the Les Paul 100 logo, the Gibson logo in MOP, and the fireburst finish will make this a collector guitar. As LPs go, the price for this wonderful guitar was quite reasonable. It is a great pleasure to own!

Comments about Gibson 2015 Les Paul Classic Electric Guitar:

First I did not get this guitar at M/Friend. I got it at a local shop. It scares me to death to but a guitar this expensive online. However when I talked to my tech he said he re-strung the guitar per my request with EB tens and did nothing to it. In other words Gibson delivered it perfect right out of the box. Neck relief was perfect. I love the G-force tuner but if it fails than what. It is very cool. I am a little worried about changing strings. For some reason Gibson did not send sufficient information in the case material about changing strings. I had to pull it off the net. It is not well written. I will likely take it to my tech and watch him do it the first time.

Now as far as pliability, this thing is a monster in both sound and versatility. You want Slash grunge, you got it. You want Strat spank, you got it. You want a DB boost for leads so you don't have the need for a volume pedal, you got it.

The action is so low it's unreal. It has all day sustain and doesn't fret out anywhere on the neck. Intonation was perfect. I had heard in 2015 Gibson stepped up their game. They did. This guitar is worth twice what I paid for it.

It's very easy to use other than the worries I have with the G-force system. I would rather not have had the goofy "Les Paul" signature on the headstock face. Looks like a third grader wrote it. Bad idea Gibson. Kind of ruins the whole appearance of the headstock.

All and all I would buy this guitar again. I highly recommend it to anyone. Seasoned guitarist or a newby. The Sea Foam green is indescribable. Simply stunning. 2015 Les Paul Classic..."Get you one today."

My local shop beat the Big Box store prices by around five hundred. I went to one of those stores after I ordered from my much smaller shop and of course they said oh gee if you would have told us we would beat that price by blah, blah blah. NO! Just advertise the guitar at your best price. A less savvy buyer would get screwed if he didn't know this and most buyers don't. Not to mention I don't have time to run back and forth screwing with that. Say my little shop quotes me a price five hundred less than the Big Box store. Then I go to the big box store and they beat that for a hundred less. Than I have to run back to my shop and say hey blah blah beat you buy a hundred…when does it end. Time is valuable. Quit playing games.
