OVERVIEW

Traditional stripped-down rocker.

Sometimes less is more and the 2016 Les Paul CM T is one lean machine. Ready to rock and at a price that competes with less worthy imports, you™ll be hard pressed to find a better deal on an American-made electric guitar. This is 100% Les Paul with the body and contours that have inspired generations of guitar heroes. With its carved top and unbound body, the general impression is that this guitar is ready for action, not decoration.

The comfortable neck features a thick, hand-oiled fingerboard with plenty of sustain from its one-piece design. Dot inlays offer just enough guidance without detracting from this Les Paul' minimalist nature. A single Classic ™61 humbucker in the bridge position gives you Patent-Applied-For tone right where you need it with a single volume and tone control to find your sound.

Hardware includes traditional Green Key tuners and a compensated, wraparound stopbar bridge that makes adjusting action and intonation easy. The Les Paul CM T comes complete with a nice padded gig bag and at a price that can™t be beat.

Comments about Gibson 2016 Les Paul CM T Electric Guitar:

I've wanted this guitar since I first laid eyes on it. I love Les Paul Jr's and I thought well this is almost just like a Jr, but with a humbucker so I was very curious to find out how it played and sounded. I was greatly satisfied with the playability and tone of this guitar....very comfortable to play and bending strings is like butter! Can't say enough good about this guitar!

Comments about Gibson 2016 Les Paul CM T Electric Guitar:

I bought this knowing what I would get. I wanted another home project and have already striped in down. This will be a fine player when I get it refinished and have my fret guy work his magic! I have done the same to one of Gibson's "60's tribute, Studio". It was questionable when I bought it new also! If you aren't prepared to do some fixing up on a new guitar spend your money on a Fender or Ibanez. This is no reflection on Musician's Friend. I have bought close to 20 guitars from MF and never returned one.

Comments about Gibson 2016 Les Paul CM T Electric Guitar:

When I saw this, I had been considering a Les Paul Jr, as I have never been a big Les Paul fan. But seeing the single humbucker, wraparound bridge, and the 2 tone wood body, I thought "Bingo". After a few days of playing it I am happy to say that I am very satisfied. Thin like a Jr. carved top with great sustain like an LP, and the thicker fretboard might be the best part about it. This thing screams, cleans up real nice and really is designed to rock. The only negative thing I have to say about it is that the frets need smoothed out on the edges. After 30 years of SG's It is a welcome change.

Comments about Gibson 2016 Les Paul CM T Electric Guitar:

I purchased the earlier model from another company with the not to my liking G-Force tuners and returned it. With that said, for me, I highly recommend producing this model and I see Gibson has dropped the tuning system, but I highly recommend, even at a higher price, producing this model with the body thickness of a traditional Junior and maybe some different color options.
